This is a pretty solid north loop spot that is a great weekend stop if you don't have reservations. many North Loop restaurants will need some kind of reservation on weekends because they get so busy, but we were able to get in Saturday night at 7:30 with no wait at all.Their menu is quite extensive and they have things ranging from burgers to salads to pasta dishes. Drink menu is original and has some fun cocktails.The wings with the Asian buffalo sauce are my absolute favorite. The flavor is always so tasty and the wings are a good size. We also tried the burger, which was supposed to have some red in the middle and instead was thoroughly cooked.Service was friendly. It is more of an upscale, casual vibe, although you could definitely go quite casual as well.

The tuna poke was excellent! I'm not sure the type of sauce they used but the flavor was fantastic and just the right amount! I would deffinatly order this again! It had carrot slices, tuna, cucumbers, brown rice and you could substitute the rice for cauliflower rice& avocados. 9/10! I also got the jerk shrimp appetizer and that was unbelievably good! The spice was just the right amount and the flavor was great! The service was very good, filled up my water without me asking many times!

Love this place. One of the best menus in the city, which is to say it pleases Missy. She can order breakfast, lunch or dinner here at any time of day. (Why more restaurants don't offer all-day breakfast mystifies us. I realize this could be a big ask, but why can't you fry an egg or flip a pancake at 8 pm, exactly? A simplified diner menu doesn't seem excessive.) That said, they did offer a lovely array of soups, salads, appetizers and desserts. Menu was decidedly weak around steaks. I had the very good walleye (see photo) and a side of bone marrow. While it looks like something the Flintstones would enjoy, and I hate the gooey texture, the marrow did taste amazing on toast. Adequate selection of beers. Service was above average, though when I requested a sample of a coconut-flavored beer, our server promptly delivered the smallest possible quantity, too small to taste anything. Meh. That aside, service was fine and the restaurant is gorgeous. Only other defect is parking. They rely on meters but we found those all taken and opted for a cold 5-minute trek from a city ramp. Bring out the valet!

Tried out this brunch spot for a friend's birthday. They had a ton of different options on the menu for brunch it was hard to choose what to get. I got the classic eggs Benedict and it was pretty good. The meat to English muffin radio was lacking but the eggs were cooked perfect and the sauce was good. Our waiter was nice and the food came out pretty quick. We had a large group so we made a reservation but they had a ton of different seating options for different group sizes. I loved the decor and they had a lot of fun lighting. Overall, we had a good experience and it would be fun to check out their dinner menu.

The Freehouse is a pretty solid stop in North Loop. The atmosphere is cool and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They have plenty of drink options all for prices you'd expect in the area. Recently I tried the Prom Night in Asgard cocktail and ilwnjoyed that. It was kind of like a fruity slightly creamy punch with a Norse twist. Service can be a bit slow, we wanted to get an appetizer with our drinks but the bartender never came back to ask. Once he did stop by again we were ready to head on out so that was a bummer.

I went here for drinks and dinner with my partner and friends and it was 10/10! Every single person working there was a joy to interact with. I've never been to a restaurant where everyone was so friendly and kind. The layout of the restaurant is nice and big but I really enjoyed the patio! The drinks were full of flavor and presented well. My partner and I split the shrimp and crab cakes. I'll definitely be back for those!
