The biggest problem with this restaurant is that it is located in Minnetonka and I live in Saint Paul. If it was closer to me, I swear I would be there on a weekly basis.Years ago, I backpacked through Asia and ate a number of Buddhist monasteries that served only vegan food. Thanh Luong reminds me of those places. The staff was super helpful at walking through the menu and picking out an assortment of items, including appetizers and desserts. It is a unique and flavorful dining experience.

This restaurant was a delightful surprise! I loved the wide variety of vegetarian options on the menu. My husband was a bit hesitant at first since there were no meat options available for him, but he ended up really enjoying the vegetarian dishes. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with Buddhist-inspired elements, creating a calm and peaceful dining atmosphere. Plus, there are plenty of parking spaces available right in front of the restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious! The eggplant dish is the best I've ever had at any Asian restaurant--so rich in flavor! The spring rolls are fresh and pair perfectly with the tasty dipping sauce. I highly recommend both dishes. The service is decent as well! I hope you will enjoy this place as much as I did!

Just went for dinner today, and thinking about it, this might be the closest equivalent you can get to Buddhist tourist temple food in Minnesota. It's a clean, efficient strip mall location. I had the Vietnamese pepper 'fish' in a clay pot; partner had the orange tofu. We shared and the orange tofu was good, but the fish blew my mind. Incredibly rich broth of soy sauce, mushrooms, scallions; Seaweed is used to replicate fish skin, wrapped around some sort of gluten or soy based mock meat. Rice was delicious; Summer rolls (with shredded mock pork and lettuce) were texturally dry but tasty. If you want hot tea, it's served in a nice pot, loose leaf green. This place is a winner.

Vegetarian restaurant is very rare in mid west, a good one is even more precious. Thanh Luong is one of those that the local vegetarian and vegans don't want to miss. The summer rolls, fried noodles, vermicelli bowl are delicious. The braised eggplant and mushroom was a bit too sweet, and the eggplants were cut way too big for the flavors to be soaked in. Services are great. Price is beyond reasonable. Portion is very generous. Would love to come back more often!

Sweet people, awesome service, and delicious food! What more can you ask for? My family and I journeyed over to the area because I love the idea of a vegan Vietnamese restaurant. We tried the canh chua, ca kho, bun rieu, and bun hue. Everything we ordered was delicious and tasted like the real deal. While it's hard to replicate bun (bo) hue to a vegan version, they make a delicious version that has all the fixings that a traditional meat bowl would. I don't know how they make all their mock foods but it's really good and textured way too well. I wish this place wasn't so far from me but definitely a great spot to get some vegan Vietnamese food!

Friendly and prompt service. Very busy with done in and take-outs. My daughter enjoyed her Vietnamese udon noodles soup. Need to have a little soy sauce but it was still tasty. I loved the water spinach/hollow vegetable sauteed in garlic. It was go6ne cooking to the finest. I could eat it everyday if I live closer. The braised tofu in black pepper was ok. It was too sweet and not enough spice for me. I didn't like the vegetables because it was so much of it and it felt like it was from frozen. The ambiance is dark lighting and loud with small dining area. Will make it back when I'm in area again even though it's a little pricey.

I was excited to learn of a new Vietnamese place nearby - and was super excited to hear about it being vegetarian. The menu had so many options making it hard to choose! I got a coffee boba and egg rolls. The boba was pretty solid and the egg rolls were so good. Nice amount of filling, great crisp exterior, and the sauce hit the spot! I also got a curry and it was so filling. The flavor was wonderful and even had more to spare with leftovers. They held up well the next day! The restaurant has a good amount of seating and also has a patio. The server was great and on top of things. There is plenty of parking available. Overall, can't wait to stop back in and try more food!

Extremely solid Vietnamese cuisine with an emphasis on the vegetarian. Solid as leftover when we ordered as takeout, but they're probably better if you eat in. My North Dakotan wife thought it was a little spicy, but I had no problem.
