Location is right off 494 so fairly convenient. They have a big selection of everything from north & south India as well as as a fairly decent selection of items from Pakistan.I've been to many stores like this in the twin cities area, especially that are in the suburbs and comparatively, I found TBS mart to be very competitive with their prices as well as selection of items. The parking lot can get busy as it is in a busy strip with lots of other shops. Because they have an abundance of items, sometimes the store shelves seem to be too stuffed so the store seems kind of cramped. Also a fair warning to make sure to check the expiration date of any item that you pick from the dry goods isle. The freezer items, I've never had issues with but dry goods, I've had to put back at least one to two items per trip cause the item was expired. Also, check your receipt, I had to correct the cashier on more than one occasion, granted, I think he was a trainee and just fudged up.All in all, no matter the brand or item that your looking for, you'll find it at tbs mart

A great Indian grocery store and more. They have all the Indian spices you'll need and I love that they have bulk packages too. Friendly staff, clean store and orderly. Very good selection. Will have to come back to browse more to learn more about all the Indian food that are ready to eat. First time here and I'm impressed!

This Indian grocery store by the Portland Ave. was good and the employee are nice and helpful. But it's been a year, every time I buy grocery from this store , they always overcharge me by adding extra item or two worth ($5-$10) which I never bought it. Today they add $16 for a packet of goat cube meat which I never bought , when asking about it, he simply answer that he made a mistake. Just be careful when u buy grocery from this store and recheck your bill or receipt. It happened to me 3rd time in a row . Maybe the owner has changed

Will always remember this as the place where I received my first rahki from my husbands family. Thank you market attendants for being so patient with us pouring over all the rakhis.

After drooling over my indian cookbook and feeling very ambitious, I came here with a very long shopping list. I needed basically everything and they had it all and at very reasonable prices. The staff was super helpful and guided me around the store to make sure I found it all.The only problem is how I will EVER use ALL of these spices!!!! The quantity that they give you is massive, so unless you plan on cooking indian food everyday you could easily share with a friend. I can't complain because the prices were so cheap and you get so much. Even everyday stuff like cinnamon where in a normal store you get a tiny bottle for over $3 bucks here you get half a gallon of it for $2! Great place to stock up on the essentials, not just indian stuff. My only complaint was the produce, it wasn't in great shape. The cilantro was all half dead and they didn't really have much selection either. But the frozen food cases had a wide variety and I was sure to stock up on roti's and samosas! They also have tons of easy to make, ready packs of spices and sauces if you don't want to cook from scratch or have a whole shed to store all those indian spices in! I recommend the "Shan" brand spice boxes, they have everything you need in a little box and you just have to add a few veggies and meat...Think indian food for dummies...but very yummy!

This is one of those grocery stores that's in business precisely for one and only one reason, location! The mark-up on most of the items are just ridiculous. I would highly recommend looking at both the expiry date and also the "best by" date before buying anything from this place. They are notorious for stocking items that have been expired.

Super conveniently located, literally less than 5 minutes away from my home! I called before hand to inquire on if they had the products I was looking for and the person that answered was super pleasant and knew what I was looking for! There is a fair amount of parking since it shares with the other businesses in the plaza. The store is very neat and tidy not to mention a great selection of stuff! The store clerks were super helpful with my questions! Their saffron prices are AWESOME. And the plantains here are CRAZY HUGE. There is no credit card minimum I believe, but what a great little Indian Market! Prices are a hit and miss with some of the stuff!

Finally found plantain in Bloomington, MN! Winning! However it was not ripe, therefore I had to wait a week and a half before I could eat them. So that's why they don't get a 5 out of 5. The staff was friendly and helpful when I couldn't find my ingredients. It's nice to have this place in the suburbs of Minneapolis. As a first generation African we have very specific ingredients and they have it!

Tbs mart is very pricey always.... But i am forced to tell this now, as everywhere we are facing food shortage and unavailability due to covid-19 outbreak, they increased the price of rice from $19.99 to $24.99. Tbs mart is taking advantage of the situation, being so greedy.
