Tavern at Green Haven

The service was adequate, some ignored waters and a misplaced order (it was later fixed) but otherwise good. There appeared to only be two servers on a Friday so it's expected. The second steak was the perfect temperature although a little over seasoned. Wasn't a fan of the simultaneously over and undercooked carrots. Steamed broccoli would have been better. The mashed potatoes were not bad. The rest of our party had the crab, steak, pasta, walleye and they seemed pretty happy with their meals. The fries weren't bad and came as a big portion. It's a sports bar on a golf course, about all you need to say. I probably should have gotten a burger as that would have been more appropriate for the venue. Final verdict, adequate. It's better than Applebee's.

Excellent food and service here for lunch! Nice beer choices (especially for our beer snobs). Great Lemon Drop Martini-the bartender even came tableside to see if it was mixed to perfection. I love their Loft Salad of cauliflower/lettuce/bacon! The BLT on toasted sourdough and LOTS of bacon, was perfection in a sandwich! Quiet during lunchtime during the winter months-lovely looking out on the snowy golf hills.

Our monthly luncheon with some retirees. Today, I had the walleye sandwich. We also had a patty melt and salads. Everything was tasty and the service for ten people was great. I also enjoyed a Surley Oktoberfest.

A solid 4 star eating experience at Tavern.Two of us stopped by for lunch including a couple of drinks, appetizers, burgers, and desserts. The food was good and our server did a nice job.The restaurant is in the far back of the building. It's antiseptic, lacking in design and personality. It gives off the vibe of a corporate office conference room. Then again, there's a killer view of the golf course if you grab a table by the windows. They have a big patio too.There's plenty of parking. We found a spot close to the door.Next time I'll drop by for dinner and try out one of the signature steaks.-Daddy Maxx Retro

Kudos to our server, Andrew for single handily took care of our large group! There were 14 of us! Everything came out from the kitchen correctly and served efficiently. On the menu it states that large groups are charged a service fee but we were not forced to pay it. Instead, we tipped MORE generously than the 15% since the service was supreme!

I am not sure why all the good reviews, maybe they had something better than we did. Place was completely empty when we walked in. Should have been our first clue. They had a wedding going on out back, which I actually liked a lot. Anyway- I ordered the prime rib-medium and my husband got the ribeye. Mine was very well done. Bland. No taste at all. His was cooked right, but cold. Our waiter who was very nice, came to check on us and I said it was good. He laughed like he didn't believe me so I said it's just okay and my husband added that his steak was cold. Waiter said ok and walked away. No offer to make anything right. For their prices, they should be making sure everyone is happy. I'm so disappointed, I wanted to love this place, but it really was terrible. Our 5th anniversary dinner wasted. If you want good steak/prime rib, Pittsburg Blue is good and even Texas Roadhouse.

Excited to have this good food so close to home! My husband had the all you can eat crab legs dinner, and I had a burger. My burger was delicious, and the fries were good. His dinner came with chicken wild rice soup (runny), salad, a potato, and veggie. He said the crab, salad, and potato were very good!Our server was training a couple people; you could see they all were learning from her experience. She was attentive and very friendly. I think next time we would try to sit in the dining room or on the patio for a different atmosphere. I'm really looking forward to visiting again and trying out more of their menu.

Great experience with my Mom and family. Food was yummy and prepared well and service was prompt and attentive. Love the view out onto the golf course! Interior is dated. This will stay on my short list of favs.

My 4 girlfriends and me ate dinner here on Wednesday night. We were so impressed! The restaurant and outdoor seating was beautiful. Our waitress was wonderful, very friendly and welcoming. So nice to have a good waitress. We all ordered something different and everyone loved their selection. I ordered the black and blue salad. It was enough for two people! The steak was tender and cooked perfectly. It had lots of blue cheese crumbles. Probably the best salad I've ever had. All of us will definitely be back soon.

When we looked up all you could eat crab legs through yelp said it was $49.99 per person when we got there they changed it to $69.99 per person and when I called reserve a table they didn't bother to let us know that the price on yelp was wrong.The food and service were very good.
