Small, cozy place, with generous proteins, wonderful service and delicious food. We were there on a Sunday morning, so it was very busy, but we were able to find a table for 4 and enjoy the delicious food. Can't wait to go back !

I wholeheartedly wish it could be zero stars, but I'll give it a .0000000000001 star review after my final visit to satisfy the minimum character requirement for a Yelp review. Get your shit together on the service end, especially when you want a tip before doing anything!

Walked into a beautiful pastry display... I tried not to look as I walked past it to get to the counter ordering station. Based on the pictures I posted, I failed... BUT I did manage to (barely) resist ordering additional items from the case. Go me!!The hubs had the lefsedilla and I had the Lefse Breakfast Combo, which I DID order, tho I meant to order the Swedish Lefse Breakfast ... anywho, it was tasty and filling, paired with a (too) large coffee. We are ready to continue our brewery tour.Maybe just a few pastries for the road.

A busy little place located in a strip mall at at the southwest border of North Oaks. I visit here often since it's close to my job. They have a very nice staff and amazing food. I've always gotten my food to go but there is a place to sit in the restaurant if you'd rather do that. Looks like there is outside seating as well once it gets warmer. The food is so good. I've gotten salads, sandwiches, roast and mashed potatoes. Always delicious and seasoned well. The food that gets me every time is the bakery/desserts they have though! I have a difficult time since I want to order everything - donuts, pastries, cakes, muffins, croissants, bars and breads. All you can want to fill your sweet tooth. If you're looking for a place with good food but even better bakery items and desserts go out of your way to come here. It's so worth it.

This certainly is a " Taste of Scandinavia " for BAKERY for RESTAURANTThe baked goods here are beyond reproach. Interesting, almondy, fresh, light, delicious, appealing, tasty, and a huge assortment to choose from. Worth the hefty $$.Now the restaurant is a different story. It is confusing as how to proceed, as there is no signage. You place your order at the counter, get a number and find your own darn table. After, you remove your own dishes etc. If you're lucky, someone will come and wipe the table off. Coffee is self serve but no one tells you that. Coffee pots are nowhere near the soda machine.Last year, i had the lemon Swedish pancakes, and they were good. This visit I ordered the Lefese breakfast, like a breakfast burrito but with lefse. It was barely warm, and the sprinkled cheddar cheese on top was not even melted a little. Every bite was an extremely dry mouthful the you struggled to swallow. Maybe if the cheese was on the inside it might be juicier.STICK TO THE SWEDISH PANCAKES!

I enjoy the food at the North Oaks location, I've been enjoying breakfasts especially for over 25 years. I'm not as thrilled with their breads the last one I bought was a sourdough. Unfortunately I used it for ham and cheese paninis and served to my lunch guests. Dry and tasteless.

We were in the area so decided to get breakfast to go. After looking at all their mouthwatering pastries, we went with kolaches. I had the apple and he had the blueberry cream cheese one. They are very large but oh so good. They were very tender and were perfect with a cup of coffee. We were waited on promptly. It looks like a great place for breakfast, maybe we'll have that the next time we're in the area.

I went here with Debra R and Jose R for breakfast a few days ago. I got the beef potato thing and an m&m donut. Debra R got the egg breakfast and Jose R got the french toast. The food was ok enough. I enjoyed the donut.

This is the second time we've been here. With it being Mother's Day it was pretty busy, however the staff were very friendly and still provided great service! We didn't have to wait too long for our food and it was delicious! So much flavor and food at an excellent price. Definitely recommend!

You be the judge...On December 21. 2024 A couple walks up to the 'host table' where there'd be a host/hostess and they wait patiently to be seated... While waiting they observe the restaurant... There is a person working behind the pastry counter assisting two customers... and other people that appear to work there are working to service customers -- they are gathering beverages and taking food to tables. While waiting the couple also look into the seating / restaurant area and see a few tables open and available for seating. Eventually the hostess walks up to the 'host' counter and puts menus back in the silver box and separates them from another menu that she places in a bin that sits in the center of the host table. She then rearranges the menus to make sure they are in the same upright (perhaps) position and does the same to the other menus she placed in the bin in the center of the host table. After a few minutes she then says "just two?". She doesn't say "hello" or anything friendly... and barely looks up. The couple say "yes"... and then she leaves and goes to the back of the restaurant and eventually returns... She then pulls out a notepad and asks to take our name to add to what appears to be a wait list. -- Mind you we see at least two to four tables from our view and no one else in sight to be seated. - The couple ask if there is a wait. She says "yes". They ask how long.. She says "not long, only about ten minutes". We left. "Why?", you might ask yourself. To the owner / restaurant manager IF you are asking yourself such a question, then you should think of finding a different business. Have you heard of customer service?... We understand that there have been staff changes over the years, and appreciate and understand that is a part of business. However, this person... Your 'hostess' has been here for many years and is the most unaware person this couple have ever met. In past years they might have been fine with her being a little lost shall we say... But at least she'd seat them. There wasn't a line of people waiting and there were a minimum of two tables directly in their sightline that weren't occupied. The tables were instead clean and ready for customers to be seated. -- Also, this isn't the first time this couple that walked into Taste of Scandinavia had issue with her. In the past they just left. -- the Swedish pancakes might still be good... however, good luck getting seated for them or anything else. This place used to run like clockwork in the mornings. Afternoons were always slow with service. Management has clearly changed. Some of the good people (the Indian lady) are still there serving customers -- or I think she might still be there. She's great / was great! She even remembers what you ordered over a year ago... or last week. Some of the newer people are also good. That 'host' however needs training and direction.
