Tare Market Northeast

I first enjoyed Tare Market at an introductory event. Now I am a regular. In particular we LOVE the peanut butter! It is fresh peanuts ground. No sugar. No additives. Just pure peanut butter. It is simply worth the drive. On top of that there are many many environmentally friendly products from food to kitchen to cleaning. All to reduce the use of plastic. Amazing. We will be back!

I just stumbled across this place and I love it!! They have tons of household items for sale in bulk; bring your own containers or buy glass containers from them. (Oh and, other custoers will drop off containers for people to use. The store disinfects them and has them available for you.) Fill them up, they weigh them at check out and off you go! I'm assuming the prices are cheaper but I didn't actually do a cost comparison. I do love the idea of reusing containers though, and not filling up the landfill. What will you find here? Lots! A whole wall of food items from beans to rice to nuts to chocolates. Bins of tea and coffee. And a large section for personal and household - large containers of hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, laundry soap, etc. (Plus shampoo, conditioner, lotion bars.) Staff is really friendly and will help you figure it all out. I can't wait to go back!

I visited Tare Market for the first time today and was blown away at the large variety of sustainable and plastic free options they carry! They have a large dry goods section, personal care items, spices, pet products, olive oil, coffee and tea, and gift options. Many of these products are organic and local. I was so excited to see that the spices they carry are all organic. I will definitely be saving my spice containers from now on and refilling them at Tare. You can bring in your own containers to use, donate some to the store, or buy your own new containers at Tare. I love their dry goods section and will be buying my pantry essentials from here as well: flour, sugar, nuts, oats, chia seeds, granola, etc. Tare really makes it easy to reuse containers and live a more sustainable lifestyle. It feels good to know I can support a small business and make healthier choices for me and the environment at Tare!
