This food truck sits in the corner of the parking lot of the former Kohl's/current temporary USPS. From what I can tell, it's open everyday from lunch to late night. Whenever I drive by it seems to be open! You can park basically right next to the food truck - super convenient. There's not places to sit but you can take it somewhere else or sit in your car! I went for the first time recently and ordered 2 mulas and a mandarian Jarritos all for $10. They take cash and card. The food came out really quickly. I've never had a mula before and I really loved it! I got lengua and asada. It was generously filled with the meat and was also cheesy with a crisp but soft tortilla. It came with 3 different salsas which were spicy but so good! Overall really solid Mexican street food. Looking forward to future trips here!

This place is dope! Seems like everybody knows about it. They had a lot of customers when I went. You pull into the parking lot and you can see there white truck in the corner of the lot. This place has a lot of options you can choose from. It's a pretty good taco. The cooks here are nice. They are so nice that you get to sit in your car until your food is ready and they will either call or signal for you. It's a good place to go for tacos when you may be in a rush or just don't feel like dining in.

On a quest to find the best authentic Mexican Street tacos in Minneapolis. Came here because the chef/owner of a nearby Minneapolis foodie restaurant stated that he thought these were the best tacos in town. The Taqueria El Primo taco truck is on the parking lot of Kmart at the corner of Blaisdell & Lake Street. I got the lengua taco, cabeza taco, & Mexican corn. The tacos were packed with meat on a traditional small street size corn tortilla--came with plenty of cilantro, lime, onion, and 2 different (pretty) hot sauces. Both meats were steaming hot and juicy--not dry like other places I've tried. In the time I was there ordering, waiting for my food, and eating in the car, there were several Spanish speaking individuals that came to place to their order. Tells me this place is legit. I loved sensing the culture and community that this place brings to Minneapolis eat Street--reminds me of home in Texas. Tacos were $2.50 each & corn was $3. Cash only. There is another taco truck in the parking lot so be careful not to get the 2 mixed up.

Taqueria El Primo you are most certainly magnificent, I had a wonderful experience here yesterday. The ambience was laid-back and friendly. Every thing that I have tried was really great and I would return to have it again! And also, the service was amazing and the staff was super polite. Love this spot! Will be back.

I made a Yelp account just to review this food. Not only is this food a good deal, it's insanely good.I got esquite, an asada taco, and pastor quesadilla. The former two came with two types of salsa each (verde and one with habanero). The esquite was very good. Even though I could tell it was canned corn, the flavors were good enough that it didn't matter, this was somehow the "worst" thing. The taco had a great ratio of onions and cilantro to steak. The steak was also *chefs kiss* (not gamey and flavor was poppin'). Quesadilla came with rice and beans which both slapped harder than a heavy metal bassist. The quesadilla itself was fuego: pork was great and ratio was good.I'll be back...
