Sunshine’s Summerhouse

Definitely make the trip here for breakfast! The vibe inside is so welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home as first-timers. The highlight for me was the brisket scramble topped with Joes KC BBQ sauce. The perfect combination of flavors! I'll absolutely be coming back!

Easy to get a table Saturday night in the fall. In fact, it was pretty quiet when we arrived, which was surprising. I hope this is only a seasonal slump as I really enjoyed the food at Sunshine's Summerhouse and want them to remain open next time I'm back in this area. Ordered the Cajun chicken avocado sandwich (server said this is one of their bestsellers, after the burger) - did not disappoint. Fries are seasoned well and crispy - not your standard/typical fries. Cole slaw is a generous scoop serving. I'm a big fan of cole slaw in general and theirs is pretty darn good. Cheese curds are a bit heavy on the coating and just so-so IMO. I think you can find better elsewhere.

We visited at the end of September so it wasn't very busy. The food and drinks at this place are great. I had a spicy margarita which was legit good and my hubby had the smoky margarita which he also enjoyed. Cheese curds were better than average. Soup of the day was Thai coconut which had great flavor. The best item was the pizza. We had the pepperoni pizza with honey. Delicious. Best pizza we'd had in the lakes area hands down. The staff was friendly, service was attentive. Ambiance is nothing special. Not on a lake but overall great meal.

Great little diner with a full bar. They're just south of Quarterdeck on 77. Great place for brunch (weekend only), lunch, or dinner. I had the burnt ends sandwich. It was a little unwieldy to handle but the flavor was there. The pickled onions add some tang to the sweet bbq sauce. Maybe go a touch lighter on bbq. The sauce made my bun wither and crumble. Burnt ends were well cooked with smoky flavor (plus that sauce). Not too fatty.

Amazing annual hog toast. All you can eat, $25!!! Slaw, salad, beans, corn on the cob. Perfectly prepared. So tasty.

Still excellent. I cannot praise the burnt ends appetizer and spicy margaritas enough. Seriously, YOU NEED TO GO HERE!!!! I had their soup of the day the carnitas tortilla... chef's kiss! The service is always great. Love the atmosphere. One of my favorite spots. Best spicy margaritas and food in the area. Gorgeous scenic area and worth a gorgeous drive to have a bite. EAT HERE!

Nice little unassuming spot away from most anything. Love the chill vibe and the unique offerings with a fun summer theme. Had the walleye sandwich which was huge and delicious. Great fries. The burnt ends appetizer was terrific as well. My kid had the salmon which he raved about. The service was friendly and prompt. A really nice surprise in the middle of pretty much nowhere. We will be back!

Food was very basic with small portions for the price of it. Our server was very friendly though, so that was a plus. Not terrible, but not a place I would go back to after trying it.

Great selection of cold beer, bourbon, and tequila. The food was excellent. Burnt ends app was spot on. Nashville hot chicken, and pulled pork Mac and cheese was outstanding! Will be my Gull Lake go to from now on!

Really good! Little pricey, but the food was delicious. The drinks were fun and dinner was really good
