Neat place in a small town!Another recommendation from a friend brought me here for dinner. Started with an Old Fashioned. Very well poured drink! Next up was a side salad with their house-made blue cheese dressing. Fresh vegetables, nice assortment of stuff but the dressing stole the show. Thick, chunky, kinda funky and really good!Went with the Walleye burger for dinner. I may never get back to the place and their signature dish sounds better than fish fry (hard to believe, right?). Sandwich was bigger than I expected and really tasty. Walleye has a lighter flavor so the aioli did overpower it a little. Wild rice is always welcome on my plate but I've never had it mixed in to a burger. Overall the patty was well-formed and really delicious. I was dubious at first but it really worked. I would absolutely hit these guys up for dinner again.

Here for the first time while staying near by at Black Bear casino. Food was outstanding, the atmosphere was great and our server was wonderful. Did not expect such a great place in a small town. We will definitely be back!

Amazing. We stopping in for lunch during our anniversary with our kids. The service was great and the servers where friendly and attentive. Our drinks came fast and stayed full and our food was warm and had great flavor. The flatbread options are awesome. Stop I'm here when you're all in the area.

This was our final stop on our weekend get-a-way last weekend. This place had high ratings, so our expectations were very high! The one thing I did not see in the ratings was the high cost! Plan on spending some dough at this place if you order the upcharge items like French fries, etcThe place was extremely busy! When a table opened up it was quickly filled. We didn't have to wait for a table, but it was hoping! We had so many different people waiting on us I'm not sure which one was actually our waitress! Nevertheless, the service was very good, and my glass of Mountain Dew was never empty. Pepsi Products - refreshing! But to my horror, no Heinz ketchup! We decided to order the unusual appetizer called cheese chunks. The beer batter dipped chunks of cheese were served in about 15 minutes after we ordered. They were okay but I certainly would not pay the price again. They did however serve them properly with marinara sauce instead of ranch! Ranch was available upon request but why?I ordered the Cowboy burger and my wife ordered the walleye sandwich. The burger was very good, and the size matched the value. The walleye sandwich had good flavor and was full of bones, so we knew it was legit! All burgers and sandwich come with chips (from a bag) or for an upcharge, fries, rings, tots and more. I chose the Fries, and my wife just ordered the chips. The Fries were very good and tasted like they were double fried. They would have really rocked if Heinz ketchup was on the table. Just get HEINZ and be done with it!Overall, a good place to eat but a bit hard on the pocketbook. Be selective on your order and limit the up sales and you will be much happier. Share an order of fries.

Excellent food. Typical bar situation. Little out of the way place. I don't even know if there are any other restaurants nearby, but service is excellent and it's always very busy.

The service is slow but if you aren't in a hurry, the grilled chicken sandwich and tots were delicious. The ambience is comfortable and prices reasonable. A great option for lunch.

We were sad that this wasn't a better restaurant. It was highly recommended by the local KOA campground and we were looking forward to eating here. Our server acted like we were an imposition on his late afternoon. I don't know if he only likes working behind the bar and food orders are a hassle but he really wasn't happy we were there. (No introduction, no specials, no recommendations, no refilled drinks without asking ...) The food was mediocre at best. It wasn't even worth bringing the leftovers back to the rig. We'd rather just have Top Ramen for lunch tomorrow. We will let KOA know it has gone downhill since they were the ones that suggested it. We did not use the KOA coupon.

Such a cute, vibey spot in small town MN! This eatery is about 15 miles from Duluth and didn't disappoint. My SIL lives outside of Carlton so this is my second time here! My salad (Jay Cooke salad + crispy chicken) was delicious & my fiancés Cajun Pasta was next level! Our server was attentive and kind! Don't miss out on the cute spot! The strawberry basil Mule is amazing as well!

Came to this small town for water rafting. This is one of the few restaurants in the area. The place was probably 1/2 full with a mini party in a closed off area. We came a little bit before dinner time on a Saturday. Their patio was closed off when we got there. They had the typical pub food from burgers to wings, pasta, steak and a list of drinks. Appetizers: Fried Pickles- Portion was huge. It was a little disappointing because the batter was not crispy at all. It's not your typical fried pickles. 2/5Brussels sprout with bacon - first thought when ordering this was my friends wanted Brussels sprout for appetizer? But it was really good. We cleaned the plate within minutes. Compared to the fried pickle, the portion is much smaller. 4/5I got the Cajun pasta which came with a breadstick. (Forgot to take a photo :() It was a decent portion and I ended up bringing some home. It was creamy and tasty in my opinion. I added chicken to the pasta and it was great. 4/5Friends got their burgers and fries and the portion was also decent like most places. 4/5Overall, everyone enjoyed their food. It was quite yummy for a small town with not much around. Service was pretty quick and they checked up on us often. If you're in town, definitely stop by this little place to grab a bit
