The restaurant itself was beautiful, with big tables for groups, cozy booths, plenty of bar seating, and an overall lovely atmosphere. The only downside was the bathroom had a strong fragrant smell to it, almost too strong imo. The food was great! I felt a bit silly ordering the chicken tenders and fries, but since they're "world famous," I gave them a try and they did not disappoint. The fried pickles were lightly breaded so if you're a pickle person, these are for you! The Nashville chicken sandwich was amazing. We arrived around 5 p.m. on a Friday and had about a 20 minute wait. The wait times picked up to 35 minutes by the time we got seated. The service was great, and we were even greeted by two staff members as we left.

To start with....sorry I didn't get pics! First date material tonight at this newer place in Woodbury. The interior is so beautiful! Love the decor and the cozy areas. We sat in the bar area and it was so nice and warm. We started of with drinks-I had the old fashioned and it was one of the best I've had! For dinner went enjoyed a flatbread and the chicken and waffles. They were good with the exception of the flatbread having pretty burnt edges and the waffle was pretty plain. Staff was friendly and attentive. I will totally go back here...def recommend!

The food was phenomenal and the service was excellent! You need to try if you haven't already. Our server Anitria was so personable and made great menu recommendations. She really knew her stuff and made our experience perfect. Our food was wonderful- we have been talking about how impressed we were all weekend. I had the Pimento Candy Burger which was delicious, and my boyfriend had the chicken fingers with fries. The seasoning was perfect on everything and the Anitria Punch was the cherry on top! The restaurant had a very inviting feel, and all of the staff we interacted with were very friendly.

I was so excited to try this place and ultimately left a little disappointed. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Got drinks right away but it took us a while to be able to order. Our waiter didn't really seem to be interested in waiting on us. We ordered the biscuit basket as an appetizer. It came with five biscuits and butter and jam. It was pretty good. I had the small size farmer salad with added famous chicken tenders that weren't hot. My teen had the pimento Mac and cheese which he said was just ok. He said the bbq sauce on top really overwhelmed all the other flavors. My husband had the red eye meatloaf. He said it was good. Nice looking restaurant. It had a fun vibe. Just seemed to be lacking on the southern hospitality.

Came back for NYE, had the Nachos, spring salad, chicken sandwich and fish.. All was delicious! We were promptly seated and there was a great vibe! Good times!

I'm not normally someone who loves ribs and other barbecue sauce type items so I have been putting off the visit, but I'm glad I went! The fries and chicken fingers are REALLY good. Husband enjoyed his Nashville Hot and thought it tasted good, but was definitely more "Minnesota Hot" lol.

Girls night out for dinner at Southern Social...my first time! Woo hoo! We were brought to the back room which I thought was a private room which had already 1 extra large party and another party of 2 sitting there. It ended up being a bit loud back there because it was such a small room when there were plenty of tables in the main dining room. Strange but okay. I ordered an unsweetened ice tea and gfree shrimp and grits. The portion was a healthy size and the ice tea was great. The food was just okay but definitely very rich tasting/flavors. Our waitress handled our ordering but wasn't the most friendliest or personable waitress I've ever had. Nothing bad but nothing really memorable. If I known there were specials I might've orders from that menu but neither the hostess or waitress mentioned it upon sitting down. Upon leaving you could tell the hostess was done with his day and just wanted to leave. On a side note, if it wasn't so humid I might've wanted to sit on their patio...lots of gorgeous flowers.

Glad to have the new location in the east metro! We have enjoyed the patio and happy hour here. For the most part, the patio is shaded during afternoon happy hour, so you can enjoy a nice early evening meal there. We have sat inside at the bar as well and the improvements in sound deadening have helped. It it still a bar with a lot of open space, though, so there is noise.Service is good here, have never been left waiting long. Happy hour has decent food options; I do wish there were a couple more options for drinks, but I still have been able to find items to enjoy.Have tried a variety of items here. The brisket sandwich was huge, almost enough for 2 people. The potato salad is tasty as a side. Wings on happy hour menu are yummy, the sticky sauce is my fave, even if it's messy.Want to work my way through the menu here as so much always grabs my attention!

Southern Social's food was absolutely phenomenal, and their customer service is unmatched. I went for a lunch meet with some colleagues, and our food was out within 5 minutes of ordering. Despite the quick service, the food was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor.For the quality of food, the prices are very affordable. We chose to sit outside on the patio deck, where we enjoyed some fresh air and sunlight along with our amazing meals. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place--I'll definitely be back as soon as possible!

The food here is hit or miss, mostly hit. Service from waitstaff has always been great. Where this restaurant lacks is in their hosting, a complete and utter crap storm. Called earlier in the afternoon and was told no reservations or call ahead on Friday's or Saturdays for dinner hours, only to be told that reservations is why our twenty minute wait turned into over an hour and we had already walked out after watching multiple 4 person parties sat that arrived with no reservation after us, yes we could hear you in the ultra small entry. Pretty sure they were only seating 2 person parties in the bar area in 2 person seating to maximize 4 person tables, efficient but inappropriate. Was watching on the Toast waitlist link that was sent via text, and we went from 2 people ahead to four back to two, then 3 then 4 etc...Confirmed reservation policy on website, see attached photo Lost a customer, and I will be making it a mission to warn people and discourage their patronage moving forward.Zero stars, it's what you deserve for this final visit.
