"Chilaquiles nachos vegan" ($10). Super tasty. The shredded vegan cheese is unnecessary, though, & the nacho sauce sufficient.
Vegan chorizo taco ($14 for two). Filling and nicely done.
Chicken tinga taco and beef brisket taco
There is TV next the bar and over the front door. This means you can see a game from many locations.

Had the opportunity to visit my old favorite spot, Sonora, for Taco Tuesdays! Even though the prices have gone up, this place is still serving up great food and drinks. The staff is always friendly, and the decor inside gives off a great vibe. This time, I tried the Chicken Rojo Taco, Fish Taco, Aguachile, and their Sangria--all of it was pretty tasty. That said, the cost makes it tough to come back often, especially when nearby spots like Lagos Tacos and Taberna offer cheaper deals. To be transparent, I spent $60 for 4 tacos, 2 drinks, and 1 appetizer--definitely on the pricier side. But regardless of the price, I've got mad love for this spot because they always treat me right.Parking can sometimes be a hassle, especially when the weather warms up and the neighborhood gets busy. Make sure to stay aware of your surroundings in this area!

A great spot for delicious Mexican cuisine! We stopped by for dinner while in town for a conference and were impressed by the experience. The space has a cool, industrial-modern vibe that feels upbeat and inviting. Our server was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and helpful with menu recommendations. The food itself was flavorful and plentiful. We shared the pork pastor nachos, which were super filling and delicious.Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return if we're ever in the area to try more of the menu. If you're nearby, it's worth a visit!

I'm glad I found this taco spot on a recent trip to Minneapolis. The group of friends I came with have some specific dietary restrictions and preferences and everyone in our group was able to find something they loved. I still drool over the thought of Sonora's fish tacos. I was impressed by the amount of fish in in the taco and it wasn't mushy like some fish tacos I've had before. The decor was cool and the restaurant was clean. I'm knocking them down slightly on the service as it was rather slow for the restaurant not being very busy. Additionally my son's food came after almost every at my table finished their food. I believe there is an unwritten but widely accepted rule in the service industry that kids food should come first if possible. As we walked out of the restaurant we noticed our server in the kitchen drinking a beer so not sure if that was why our service was slow or if his shift just ended. All in all the food outweighed the service snafus and if in the area again I'd give them another shot to deliver on the service front.

Went for happy hour on a Friday. We went kind of early so it wasn't busy at all. They do have a pretty decent happy hour menu. We ordered the street corn which comes on a bed of rice. A few chicken tinga street tacos, fries, a drink & the tres leches cake. Everything was really good especially the cake. Our waitress was really nice and the bartender checked in on us from time to time to help. The space was really nice and they have patio for the nicer months. The parking is a bit rough in this area, all metered, there's a metered lot right across the street which would probably be the safest bet.

This appears to be a seat yourself type of restaurant. Upon entering, it took a while for a hostess to come to our table and offer us drinks. It took just as long for her to return for us to get food. The food was OK, but not some thing I would necessarily return for. It's your typical Text mix type of cuisine. The fish taco was good and so was the quesadilla. Despite the menu saying, it comes with sour cream, they made me pay extra for it. some friends who got a bowl said they enjoyed it. I wouldn't recommend taking this to go or having leftovers as it did not pull up well. We also ordered a few drinks, including a strawberry margarita And a cocktail off of the menu. I would recommend a margarita with a sugar rim, but that's because I don't like salt rims. Quite a small restaurant, but I think it might be OK for groups.

Apps.Queso w/ Shrooms.I enjoyed the dip & the chips. I thought by the looks of it, that it may not have tasted the way it did. Chips very hearty=*}Tacos.Mushroom. I can't rmbr where I've had a Mushrm taco before but this taco was on 100! The mushrm were grilled to perfection. The condensation from the mushrms didn't soak my flour tortilla... that's how U know It was prepared by hands that knew.Fish. Didn't enjoy it as much. It was thinly battered so I was good in that department. I think I didn't like the last three bites of it maybe bc the oil settled & it had an after taste.Steak. Thinly sliced and crispy. OMG! It was a party I had all by myself when I saved it for last. Burrito.Mushroom.Service.It was accommodating for the type of venue.Music. Whosever playlist it was... was just right for the after work mood... happy Hr appropriate.I will say that sitting on the high top as soon as U walk in the dining rm, do NOT sit there on windy days... otherwise, I have to keep paperweights on Ur napkins & Ur food can catch a chill pretty fast if Ur not planning to devour as soon as it's served.Note: Pendant Lighting over the bar... needs some housekeeping action. This place... their food was notably alllll tasty!!!If Ur craving Mexican food to hit the spot...this is the place=*}1 saved round... their to-go container...LuVLuV!!!

The tacos were great! I would love to come back here. The fish taco was delicious . They all have a good unique sauce. Let me tell you, i over order because i always thing three isnt enough, but these tacos were packed! It was so yummy, i would come back to get more. All the meat, such as steak, pork and chicken was not dry, they were juicy. The spice is there and it goes so well with the sauce. The churro was good fresh with the ice cream and chocolate sauce. The nacho had a lot of meat and spice. They did not play with the guacamole! The empanadas were so packed with beef and go so well with the green sauce! The services were amazing! We were there for a while and they were okay with it, however we felt bad for staying so long we left a tip and went home. The ambiance was nice and friendly. Definitely coming back in the future!

My FAVORITE (repeat) FAVORITE tacos in the cities!!! $6 / taco but the portion size is great and the ingredients are HIGH quality! They have a great - but early - happy hour too. When you read the menu, take the food as is, I promise these chefs know what's up!! You could eat around this whole menu, everything is amazing! Get the chips and salsa, and the rice and street corn hahaha. Great cocktails too. Convenient parking across the way of this downtown location. Quick service, cool cool vibe. Must visit!!!

I sat at the bar on a Thursday night, so it wasn't packed. The food and drinks were amazing!! It was a fresh take on Mexican food. The guacamole was fresh along with the chips. Initially I ordered the fish taco...delicious. So I then ordered shrimp. There are no complaints. The prickly pear cocktail was very spicy but tasty...it didn't stop me from finishing. If you don't like spice don't order. I ordered a margarita next using pineapple juice. That was delicious as well. I leave no bad comments for this place.

I was looking for Mexican food around the state theater downtown Minneapolis and this place popped up! I'm glad it did! I loved the outdoor seating and the large spread out tables inside. They have a full and beautiful bar, lots a seating, and an open style kitchen. The food was absolutely wonderful and my beer was tasty! I got 3 street style tacos and chips and queso. Staff was very friendly!
