A good three. Not greasy AT ALL! but seriously, this is third generation locals. But still cheap as a mofo! The egg roll that comes with the combo dinner? LITERALLY only cabbage in the egg roll. Not even a whiff of seasoning or flavor. WORST EGG ROLL IVE EVER HAD! Even from a generic Midwest pseudo Chinese restaurant... They did have the standard menu though. If you've EVER eaten at any Chinese restaurant in the Midwest, remember shrimp, beef, pork and beef. Remember chop suey ( lol!) chow mein crappy fried rice. Not greasy though. So, I'll give it that. Will make a t**d...

Nice quiet place. Always good to see variety in a small town. The family favorites are the Fried Dumplings (made from scratch) and the pork egg rolls. Unlike a lot of surrounding Chinese places in nearby towns, you actually taste the differences in sauces from dish to dish. I love the Mongolian Beef and the Orange Beef has slivers of orange peel added so you get a bit of bitter with all the sweet sauce. Also, this place doesn't appear to be a buffet anymore. Full menu items with lunch specials under $5. Skip the foot longs and go for a big meal.

Eat in at Song Garden a few times and "rude lady" will become your friend. I have always enjoyed eating and getting take out from Song Garden. Their Sesame Chicken is great and get a side of chicken wings. The interactions with the owners son, Cory, are always fun and memorable.

Sounds Garden is your typical small town Chinese restaurant. They have your typical Chinese buffet items without much imagination or surprises. The food has always been good and prepared the way it should be. They do have a small buffet for lunch but I prefer China Moon's. Sometime the people that take phone orders can be a little bit hard to understand but they seem to get the orders right.

They have the BEST lo mein. I drive from St Paul just for their lo mein. I can't get take out anywhere else because it doesn't compare. I'm not sure how they do it.

Song Garden had been our go-to place for several years for Chinese, and then we stopped going, due to quality issues. We recently decided to try them again, and what a difference 5 years made! We ordered pork fried rice, egg rolls, a combo of roast pork with Chinese vegetables, curried chicken and either sesame or orange chicken. (We forgot which we ordered.) Everything was great! The roast pork was the most tender and flavorful we've ever had, and all of the vegetables were high quality and generously provided. None of the "sea of celery in a mountain of gelatinized sauce" you often get at other places. The chicken in the curried chicken was super tender, and the breading in the sesame/orange chicken was thin, and didn't dominate the pieces. And, the sesame/orange chicken had a good sesame flavor, along with bright spots of what appeared to be orange/kumquat peel. (I suspect kumquat, due to it's being a bit sour.) The place is the same, dark and somewhat dismal place it's always been, but the young woman who waited on us at their Covid setup inside was very friendly and nice, even though her English was fairly limited. Despite the surroundings, we used to eat there and will no doubt again, once things open up again and are safe. In the meantime, we're definitely going to be ordering their craveable, quality food again and again!

I went here years ago with my mother and I remember that, for whatever reason, she didn't like it. Regardless, I moved into town and my housemates said it was really good food! So, 8 years later, I went down and ordered myself chicken egg foo young, chicken fried rice, and chicken lo mein. The child (seriously, a teenage boy) who checked me out was very rude when I purchased my items. However, it was really affordable and cheap! I was excited!!!Then I got home.I opened up the food, after bicycling from my apartment a mile away to the restaurant and back, and was... surprised. The egg foo young was DRENCHED in some kind of gross looking, smelling, and tasting gravy. Unappetizing. I didn't even dare to eat it. The lo mein was... okay. Flavorless, however. The fried rice was literally the exact same except WORSE than the rest of the chicken fried rices from this area. Definitely prepackaged. The chicken in all three were super chewy and disgusting. I couldn't finish it. The one thing they didn't mess up was the white rice. Thank goodness. Still, I wanted to throw up after eating. My wonderfully WISE housemate said that I should really go back and ask for my money returned. I brought the food and we drove down. The place, like before, smelled of old grease with an undercurrent of cleaning product. I spoke to the owner and the boy from before and explained what was wrong. I was thankful that they returned some of my money to me (I didn't bring two of the items since they were thrown away, so that was somewhat understandable), but I still feel sick to my stomach two hours after eating. If you are looking for cheap food for cheap prices with a chance of food poisoning, this is the place for you.I don't know how people think this place is good.GO TO CHINA MOON. They're not great, but it's ONE HUNDRED times better than this place. Save your body.
