Smoke

We stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon, it was not busy (apparently a great time to stop for food!) so we were able to grab a booth right away and order quickly. We ordered a brisket sandwich with chips and the parmesan crusted burger with fries. The brisket was ok 9/10, you didn't really notice the sautéed onions and mushrooms, the chips that came with it were burnt. The burger was spectacular, the parmesan crusting on the bread the burger was served on was amazing, and the complete flavor complex was downright delicious (10/10 for sure!)! The fries and sauce were good. The place is decorated cute in a way you'd expect a BBQ joint to be. There isn't tons of indoor seating or parking, so I can imagine it's a bit hectic when it's busy. But the service was fast for a sit down restaurant! I'd receiving this place a try!!

We made the drive south specifically to try Smoke after seeing a review on social media. We opted to split the three meat combo meal with Mac n cheese. The brisket has a beautiful smoke ring and was tender. The pulled pork was flavorful and provided some of the crispy edges. The barbecue sauce was the perfect pairing with the meat. The ribs were not as tender as we hoped, but still had good flavor. I'd give it a five, but both we and the table next to us had additional billing questions when we received our checks.

I sampled a bit of everything, but my favorites were the burger and pulled pork. The duck wontons, not pictured, are also fantastic--you can't go wrong with those either.

I had the ribs, the kid, shredded chicken. Meat was good, sides meh. The place looks cool, heat treated wood walls, smells amazing in there. It is small and a little crowded but there is outdoor seating. Tonight may have been an off night but our service was slow and she didn't really seem like she gave a shit if we were there or not.

Was told the beer selection was quite impressive. Bellied up to the bar and saw 8 on tap on the chalkboard. Good choices for sure, but thought there would be more. Looked to the left and saw the Untappd Board which has their can and bottle selection. Jackpot!Staff was super friendly and helpful. I went with two items on special. Pasta Bolognese and Pork Wonton Soup. Both were dynamite!The building they are in is pretty small. Starting to regret writing this review. Want to keep it to myself. Looking forward to trying some of their more traditional BBQ. If I lived in Lonsdale, I am sure I would be here all the time!

The food and the service are top-notch! I would definitely recommend checking out Smoke if you have not yet.

Tator tots, so burnt. No taste and chicken tenders were also burnt. No cook should of sent out order, looking like that. Will not be returning!

Cutest place and great brisket. Good wine and fancy beer selection was an unexpected +. Service fun and friendly . Felt like a Northwoods getaway. Give it a try Ambience was warm and welcoming.

Place is great. Outstanding burgers and smoked meats. Great tap list and I'll never want a different Bloody Mary after having theirs made with bbq bourbon whiskey.

Rustic little shop in a very small town. Brisket is mildly seasoned, the in house smoked pastrami potato soup has a flavorful kick. More tots than I could eat. Tried the Toppling Goliath Mornin Delight beer, pricey but worth the cost. Sample first, not everyone's beer. Service is very good even though they seem short handed. Who isn't these days. Worth the trip from the beaten trail.
