Shiners

Our first visit to Shiners. Pretty cool place. Order at the counter kiosk and you get a text when your food is ready. We had the whole Santa Fe Chicken sub and Thai Chicken salad. Both were prepared with fresh ingredients, portions were very generous, and both had some good spice levels. Excited to try other menu items on our next visit

What a delightful addition to the area! I needed a place to take the kids while the Mr. was out golfing. We decided to try a place off the lakes to avoid crowds. This place is off the beaten path in Jenkins and fit the bill. The service was super fast and friendly. It's sort of a "Panera" setup where you order with a person or at a kiosk then they deliver food and drinks to your table. I had some customizations to make for the kids and everything came out correctly. The bread is incredible! The meats, toppings, flavors - everything is delicious. Even the white queso was some of the best I've had with nice chunks of green chiles. It's *really hard* to make all 3 of my kids happy at the same restaurant and this one nailed it. Can't wait to come back in a couple weeks when we are up north again!

Great food. Selection goes beyond the usual up notth options. I especially recommend the roasted red pepper soup

I haven't been here. Yet very helpful when my son needed leg and Hip braces to help him walk again. Didn't cost US a thing

First I need to say that I love anyone who invested in their place during COVID, and these guys did. This is a cool, industrial looking neighborhood spot. They have some interesting drinks, (including a nice spicy mule) and a full bar. You order your food at a kiosk, which works well. We have tried a couple of there salads (the Thai version is tasty, but ask for light dressing). The burgers are all good, and I like each sandwich I have had here. Don't expect fancy food, but plan on having well made twists in the food that so many places around here serve.

Great place. Simple, well executed food delivered by an eager and accommodating staff. The Chicken and Wild Rice soup is a standout. Highly recommended!

Hidden gem just 1.5 miles from the movie theater. Clean, a bar, and a nice variety of subs, soups, salads. It's a nice option before or after a movie.

I had heard from friends that this location was delicious and clean and it did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and the food came out very quickly. The new location is a gorgeous and hipster chic bar with delicious food options and kid friendly location! I am most excited to have a drive thru pick up for hot chicken and wild rice soup come this Winter.

My friend and I stopped in Jenkins for a meeting and decided to check out Shiners afterward before we drove back to Chicago. The building is new and very clean. We were greeted warmly and with good information about the food options and prices when we asked (the prices are not displayed). Of several recommendations, I tried the 6" Italian sub and my buddy got the pulled pork. It was almost 3:30pm, and not very busy between lunch and dinner. Our food came out hot and fast, to go. We added napkins to the bag and strolled out to our car. My sandwich was hearty, tasty and not too messy. It hit the spot. My buddy said his sandwich maybe was the best sandwich he had eaten in over ten years at least. He suggested that we had to leave a review, because it was sooooo good. I agree and here we are. SHINERS is worth the stop. The pulled pork with the apples and red cabbage with their own BBQ sauce (I think the very courteous gal said it was a "sweet" styled bbq sauce, rather than a spicy or bold bbq) was unique and and greatly satisfying with every bite. I would bet money, if my buddy is ever back in the Northwoods, he'd make a special point to get that sandwich again. Sorry, we ate em instead of photographed 'em. Your going to have to go find out for yourself. Enjoy!

Cold beer and hearty sandwich, what more can you wish for?Beer mugs came chilled and when I asked for a sample of the soup, they were happy to get it. I ordered it.Sydney was lovely and helpful! We'll definitely be back!
