absolutely love this place! I can't even describe it, but I will do my best. It's a giant warehouse of every kind of meat, Korean snacks, Chinese snacks, SOME veggies/fruit, bananas, drinks, boba teas, bubble tea, etc. there is something for everyone in this store. They have FANTASTIC prices, especially on their meat. We got chicken drummies a pack of 3 large ones for $1.29 and it's GOOD quality. They do have some poor quality meat there, but you just have to look for the kind you're looking for and you'll get it for an amazing deal. The cashiers are so happy, personable, and polite. My fiance and father in law and I hit it off really well with the sweet Guatemalan woman who was working at the register. She was such a sweetie. We will definitely be back. I'm so glad I found this place!!!

This is a wonderful place for Asian grocery, it's a large warehouse with lots of items ranging from frozen to fresh produce to processed items. They're priced cheaper than most grocery stores and certainly despite having same items, they cost less than other Asian stores like United noodles. They're located in such an obscure place, it's hard to find it and you can't see it by driving passed it. People go here go there for a reason and deliberately.

Spacious, clean and incredibly well stocked. Shanghai Wholesale is where I go for Asian sauces, noodles and all the frozen dim sum goodies. Super quiet, lots of space and they have almost everything my kitchen needs as a transplant from Asia-Pacific to the midwest.

Shanghai wholesale may not be the most organized or dressed up store, but they have been a staple for our family. This is the spot to go when you want to get hotpot ingredients! Actually this is the only place I really know of that carries the right thinly sliced beef! We also always get our enoki mushrooms, sausages, udon, Chinese broccoli and more here. I love looking through the sauces and soup bases and the girls enjoy browsing the snacks.Something for everyone :)

This is the best place for hot pot essentials in Minneapolis-St. Paul!! I've came a handful of times and have found everything I needed. Even as an English speaker, I could get everything I needed. The only reason for 4 stars is that it is messy and hard to find many things.ARRIVING- the location is maybe a little sketchy because it is in the back of a warehouse area surrounded with semi trucks in the parking lot and around, and there is a single sign pointing you to the backPRODUCTS AND INSIDE- there is a huge selection of things, from asian snacks to obscure mushrooms. but because of the huge amount of things it's hard to find exactly what you need in the big site- they carry everything you could need for hot pot! I get chinese leafy veggies, thin sliced meat, sauces, soup bases, dishes, fish cakes and more all from here. I even saw a hot pot pan in the back!- you can see the boxes, fork lifts, and more inventory which I feel should be kept away more- there were baskets from another local grocery store (see below)MISCELLANEOUS - reasonably priced, we spent 90 dollars forproducts that will last for 2 hot pot parties for 6 people rather than over 100 bucks for all you can eat hot pot out somewhere for one time.- friendly cashier

Looking for that ever-elusive bubble milk tea ice cream? Well, this place seems to always be stocked with boxes of it in the freezer by the cashiers. Sure, it's pretty expensive for ice cream- BUT OH SO WORTH IT.Shanghai Wholesale may not be the prettiest, cleanest, or most organized grocery store but they do stock a lot of meats, fish balls, and other hot pot ingredients to fill your fancy. It's also fun to peruse the snack aisles and see what random flavors of crisps and sweets you can find- salted egg crackers YUM! I also saw that they have whole frozen crepe cakes. For $30, it was definitely not in my budget (or diet) to try at the time but maybe for a party in the future...

Shanghai Wholesale!! Don't get it confused with Shanghai Market. Wholesale is better and cheaper than shanghai market! Shanghai wholesale is located in a dinky warehouse on industrial blvd. It might be a little hard to find if you're not familiar with the area, but there should be plenty of signs pointing you to the right location! It's conveniently located right off the 280 freeway. This place is pretty spacious. There's a lot of good things about this place and I'll slowly go through them.Vegetables: Very good selection of different vegetables. There's so much more options here than Shanghai Market or United Noodles. They are also cheaper than those 2 locations. They sell Enoki mushroom for really cheap here. I love enoki and I always pick up 2-3 packets a week when I come. The large enoki package is only $1.69 or so. Other places like United Noodles is like $3.00 for the same size!! Big difference in the long run. Bok choy is comparable to what they have at United as well. Meat:I don't eat much meat, but their meat is very nicely packaged. More specifically the sliced beef and sliced pork. I don't buy the beef because it's expensive, but sliced pork is pretty cheap @ about $4.99 a pound. They are nicely sliced and rolled and placed in a plastic box. I'll attach a picture for you to see. They are perfect for soup and hot pot! The beef is done the same way, but cost like $10+ dollars per pound.. too expensive for me right now. Hot Pot Materials: This is the go to place if you want to have hot pot with a group of friends. It is much more affordable and cheaper than United Noodles. The Enoki, the fish balls, meat balls, fish cuddle, etc... are all cheaper here and have greater selection than the other Asian markets around the cities. Asian pastries: They sell Asian pastries that are imported from San Gabriel, California! Close to my hometown!! The pastries are legit, not 85 degrees level, but good for Minnesota nonetheless. They have plain white toast, shredded pork on bread, green onion bread, coconut bread, and more!! They're not too expensive either! They are fresh! I'm so glad they serve it here.Rice:Rice is very cheap here as well. I'm never buying my rice at United Noodles again. it's $5-10 dollars cheaper here than United, depending on how large the rice you are purchasing.Other goodies:This place has almost everything...snacks, ramen, frozen buns, dim sum meat, etc.... Check this place out if you can! Great Asian supermarket. The only downside is they don't sell the soft tofu I use for soondooboo. There is also a $7 minimum for credit card.
