I was in and out in 10 minutes. She fixed up a zipper on a bag for me that had always had problems about a month ago, and it works like new. Super cheap. Would recommend. Told my mom about it and she was flabbergasted at how amazing this experience was for the price

I was happy with the service I received here-- she was quick to set up appointments and do the alterations, but I was not very happy when I almost did not fit in my dress on my wedding day. When I tried it on, I knew it felt really really tight, but she said it was perfect. My wedding was about 3 days later, so I am pretty dang sure I didn't suddenly grow...... However, I had three of my bridesmaids struggling to get me in, and I did wonder for a second what I would do if I could not get in my dress. I am reasonably sure she did the alterations too small and just didn't want to redo them when she realized her mistake. Having my fat smooshed together in all my wedding pictures is not flattering-- and really, I am not a large girl by any means. It looked like I bought my dress too small when really I had custom alterations. So, although I was happy during the alteration process, I was very unhappy when it mattered-- on my wedding day. I would not suggest going to her. On another note, she did an alteration for me on a bridesmaid's dress a few years ago which turned out fine, but I wouldn't suggest risking a bad alterations job. Another one of the bridesmaids said that for a past wedding, Kathy accidentally sewed her dress about 4 inches too short, and they had to decide to for a fix that would maybe look like it was on purpose-- sewing a thick white strip of satin on the bottom of the pink dress. FYI, I've seen the pictures. It did not look good.

I've gone to Sew it Up a few times to have dresses altered. She does a fine job but is on the expensive side. I recently had a dress shortened and it was pointed out to me that the hem wasn't even. There were 3 layers to the dress and the middle layer was uneven. She does work for military members and I believe she offers a discount.

I have brought every one of my youngest daughter's formal dresses for the father daughter balls, my oldest daughter's prom dresses, my dance costumes, and everything else under the sun and it has always been done on time as promised and turned out perfectly. Recently she made an alteration on a formal gown that I expected to run a fortune because of the multiple layers...but instead, she altered the straps with release stitches so my daughter can wear it again as she grows! She is wonderful at what she does! She also rents out faux fur wraps and crinoline slips. Best in town!

Kathy altered my wedding dress, and she did such an amazing job. We made a few big changes to the dress, and I was nervous that they would look obvious and ruin the dress. Kathy made the dress look way better than it did before, and the dress didn't look like it had been altered at all. She was great to work with and did such a great job on my dress.

I have gone a number of times. They altered a dress I bought for my daughter's wedding, and my husband's suit. I recently had some more things altered. I had a shirt with a draped neck set was a bit too low. To some extent the front had to be taken apart and remade. They are very professional, and do meet their deadlines.

I have used her services for many alterations and repairs over the past 2 years and found her superb. No, she is not inexpensive but I trust the professional work she does.I have had her do repairs to the many faulty commercially sewn grants with seams that come apart when only weeks old. Anything from ski pants to jackets and even my favorite glove once. The garment work is receive is better than the original factory work.
