We absolutely love this museum. It's huge so there is always plenty to see and explore. The Omnimax shows different movies which also gives us a reason to go back. And there are a lot of interactive exhibits which keep my son entertained. The only thing that is a negative is the price for daily admission. If you live in the area I highly recommend getting a household yearly pass as that makes it much more affordable if you visit at least a couple times a year.

After having not visited the Science Museum since the early 2000s, we spent the afternoon taking in all of the updates. It felt even more interactive than I remembered. I noticed notes on the fourth floor regarding the human body. There was signage warning about the real human body parts and that the bodies were donated for science. This also included the mummy - it was behind a tri-fold wall with a warning. I was thankful each floor had a bathroom and several hand sanitizer stations. This came in clutch while participating in the interactive exhibits and the overhead speakers voiced reminders throughout our time there. As an indigenous person, I appreciated the effort to acknowledge the peoples and land of the area. Their indigenous program helped alleviate the cost associated with the visit as well. Highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance - the line at the entrance gets pretty long. Also - if you suffer from motion sickness, the Omnitheater may be challenging for you.

We got to go to the science museum this summer through the blue star program for military members. There is so much to do here that we usually don't get to go through it all in time for one day before having to leave for nap (parents you know the deal ). So great for all ages! My kids (4 and 1.5) especially loved the dinosaur and sports exhibits.

I had the pleasure of visiting the science museum last week with a group of college students. It was delightful to observe the numerous interactive exhibits that allowed visitors to engage with the scientific concepts. The museum staff demonstrated remarkable friendliness and expertise, providing valuable insights into the various topics on display. Parking was in a ramp, and it is 15 bucks for parking. My friend dropped me off so I didn't have to pay for parking. It was hard to find the front of the science museum because of the way the GPS was bringing us.

I think we have one of the BEST Science Museums in the country! We really love this place. The programs are amazing, so many of their exhibits are interactive/engaging and (obviously) highly educational. When the kids were young, this was one of the only places we visited where they didn't ask to play on their iPads because the exhibits are so engaging. We even came here for a few date nights because it's fun for us too. It's conveniently located in downtown St. Paul, so there are many great restaurants nearby. There's a small cafe with food and drink and the gift shop has a lot of great selections too. Try to come out during the early summer for some outdoor mini-golf with amazing river views. Attached parking ramp has plentiful spaces and prices are reduced for people with annual memberships.

The Science Museum of Minnesota was an extensive space with multiple floors, exhibits, and hands-on activities for kids. Is it worth the price point? Probably. Was our experience limited by the time/day we visited? Yes. Ultimately, we visited in late May, and it was clear that there were multiple school groups on the Thursday morning we visited. This is not unexpected, but there were so many folks in the building that it was hard to access some of the exhibits. Our son is 3 years old, and he got a lot out of it. I would say there is something for kids of all ages, but I may have held off by an additional year and/or gone at a different time so that his visit could have been a little richer than it was.

What a wonderfully HUGE museum and right in the heart of St. Paul. Our family decided to get a membership and so far we've been there twice in 1 month. It's already paid for the membership by going twice! Crazy! It's definitely worth the cost. Parking: There are 2 different entrances to the parking garage. The top entrance is extremely narrow so if you have a large SUV...I suggest going to the lower parking entrance ramp. The garage is huge and easily accessible to the elevators to get you to the L level. P4/P5 are the best levels to park in my opinion. Lockers: These are probably the best lockers I've ever seen in a public space like this. There is a computer screen to the left when you walk in from the elevators. You pick 4 digits for your code, pay using a credit card and then it gives you a # for your locker. They have regular size and large lockers. This time I got a small for $2 for about 3-4 hrs! So worth it. The Museum: lots of lovely interactive exhibits everywhere. Our favs are the race on the main level where you can race against T. rex, TC the bear, etc. Another one is the astronaut where you record a video and your name and it appears on the HUGE astronaut. And tons of fossils! Omni Theater: we've seen the sea lions and space shows. Both are awesome! Love the comedy during the space odyssey show. This place also has lovely views of the port of St. Paul. Must see if you love science.

Nice science museum. Relatively well maintained. Average size for large metro science museum. Tries to cover a little on a lot of topics. A fair amount of interactive exhibits but nothing that was super kid engaging. Not a destination but not bad if in area.

I came here and it was super fun! (A little pricey) but it's understandable for a city establishment we watched a movie on a big screen about sea life and it was very cool and educational then we did a dinosaur scavenger hunt.
