Santa Leyenda

On your drive up to the North Shore, if you're real hungry and feeling for Mexican, this Lucha Libre inspired spot was a good place to fill up!I went for the "Neck Breaker" burrito - filled with ribeye/shrimp/chorizo and it was a giant monster covered in green salsa and sour cream. I'll leave out one small detail, but it was a funny way of serving. Surf and turf meal and super filling, I had to pack the other half to go. Chips and salsa, complimentary were pretty good. Draft beer at $3.25 for Spotted Cow is a no brainer - cheap, generous and tasty!

Horrible service. Was dinning in and yet my food was delivered in a takeout bag. I reiterated that I was dining in and even needed to ask for silverware to eat my food. No apology was given. And worst yet they still attempted to charge me a takeout fee. Take your time and money to other establishments in the area.

Delicious, fresh, fast and attentive service. Funny wrester decor, clean and fun. We were driving by, and so glad we stopped in.

IMHO, this is one of the best Mexican restaurants ANYWHERE. I've lived in Texas, California, and traveled to Mexico and, while I've had many a great Mexican meal elsewhere, I don't recall anything being better than what you'll find at Santa Layenda in Washburn, WI. Want something really special? Check out the house Santa Layenda special, with 1/2 of a grilled pineapple LOADED with goodies. Too many unique and delicious items to include here. The service is always top notch with the owner overseeing everything. The atmosphere is super casual, and if you are into Mexican wrestlers, well, then you are in for a fun treat. Just do yourself a favor and GO!

Small cafe bar with excellent homemade cuisine. Fresh fresh fresh! Nicely seasoned tacos, quesadillas, good plates. Affordable and welcoming.
