The wife and I wanted to take our 9 year old daughter out to some Hibachi since she has never experienced it before. We decided on Samurai Hibachi & Sushi near Southtown (Bloomington) since we didn't want to deal with the parking at the MOA for Benihana. Glad we made the decision for Samurai. There was plenty of parking, and since we had an early dinner (4:30 pm reservation), we had the entire hibachi table to ourselves. The hostess was at our table as soon as we sat down to take our drink orders/apps, and soon returned for our menu choices. She was very attentive, and food service was very quick. We ordered 2 martinis for the me and the wife, and ordered the pan seared beef dumplings ( choice of beef, chicken or pork) and a bowl of edamame. The edamame hit the spot, but the dumplings were pretty plain. For the mains: I ordered the filet mignon steak and scallops, the wife ordered the chicken, and my daughter had the Jr kid portion of the steak. As a whim, I also ordered the 6 oz A5 Wagu steak so we could all try it. Good choice...10 minutes later the hibachi chef came out with his cart and introduced himself (Romero I think?)He started out amusing my daughter with a variety of gags and jokes that had us all laughing out loud. He was very quick with the jokes and puns, and had some nice props to back up the act. Time for the food!Everything was placed on the grill in strategic locations for cooking, and the show started. He was good. Very good! The chef was very good at preparing the meals, The food was fantastic, and perfectly cooked. He even expertly cooked the A5 Wagu rare for me, and medium for the wife and kid. OMG. You need to try the Wagu. It was simply seasoned with salt and pepper, and quickly seared on both sides. It literally melted on your tongue. My daughter was in heaven. Fast forward to the end of the meal:We ended up having a large amount of leftovers. All 3 of us brought a To Go container home. I love leftovers! So, bottom line, this place rocks. Especially when you come early for a nice low key dinner (I have a feeling this place gets pretty loud later in the night). The service, chef show and expertise, food quality, and ambiance were spot on, and there was ample seating in the hibachi area and regular dining area. Plus they had a separate sushi bar as well. In conclusion, we had a great time. The prices were about the same as other similar restaurants, the service was excellent. Just be aware that the A5 Wagu steak is a premium option, but worth it in my opinion. Get the Ala Cart Wagu steak option for about $45 bucks per 6 oz. That way the entire table can have a taste of the OMG meat!We will definitely be back! Yummo.

I ordered take out for lunch, I think it's cool that they offer lunch prices for take out! I got the hibachi chicken, which came with rice, chicken, veggies (onions, mushrooms & zucchini), yum yum sauce & soup. All the food was decent tasting, especially for hibachi for $10. I didn't really get to see much of the restaurant as the greeter grabbed my order but from what I did see it looked nice & clean. Overall I hope to go back & dine in someday.

We ate at the Hibachi table and all 8 of us really enjoyed the show that Antonio put on. The rest of the staff was very attentive and the food was excellent (recommend the trio). We will definitely be back!

I've never been here before and accidentally ended up here when my previous plan for a different AYCE sushi didn't pan out. But I'm so glad it worked out this way. The server we had was super nice and attentive. Let's be honest, if you don't eat 100+ pieces of sashimi and AYCE sushi what are you doing. With that being said this place has THE BEST slices of sashimi for AYCE you could get in MN. The pieces are super thick and the fish is very fresh. I will say in terms of other food it's not as many options but I'm here for the sushi anyway. The regular rolls are also HUGE so make sure you order less than you think you need. All that for $29 is so worth it.

I ordered the lunch special. So I chose 3 types of rolls.I ordered the sweet potato, spicy cali, and shrimp tempura. The order came with miso soup. The spicy California roll was the best out of the three, but it wasn't super spicy. The sweet potato roll was okay. I've had it at other places, and they're always really good. However, these ones had huge chunks of undercooked potato... I was a bit disappointed, as I was chewing through tough sweet potato chunks. They were pretty hard. The shrimp tempura roll was good, except for the big chunks of lettuce they threw in the rolls, it made it sort of bitter. I received 6 of the spicy and 6 of the potato rolls, but only 5 of the shrimp? Sort of weird. The miso soup was good. The inside of the restaurant was really cool and the front door associate was really nice. He got my pick up order to me right away and it was ready a couple of minutes early.

Stopped in right as they had opened for lunch while we were SuperCharging so we had some time. The staff was very nice to our family. Our 2yr old daughter enjoyed the miso soup, avocado roll, crab cake wontons, and of course green tea IceCream (She was allowed to eat for free)My wife and I really enjoyed the quickly prepared sushi rolls which tasted very fresh and the price for lunch was only $18.95 AYCE. The lunch selection had plenty of choices. Great little spot and just steps from the Tesla SuperCharger, so stop in!

We had a wonderful experience here. Benihana was overbooked at the MOA so we were lucky to come here instead. The restaurant was clean, elegant, and minimally but tastefully decorated. The service was excellent. Our hibachi chef did a fantastic job. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Everyone in the family enjoyed the delicious food. We will definitely be back.

Ordered from here on Uber Eats. Got the chicken hibachi, samurai 2 roll, and spicy tuna roll. STAY AWAY! First, the order arrived with every sauce cup spilled all over the bag and everything inside. The hibachi was dry, overcooked garbage. The samurai 2 roll tasted fishy and the rolls are the size of a baby, impossible to eat. The spicy tuna roll was inedible, didn't even taste like tuna. The best part of the order was the Diet Pepsi. Absolutely horrible experience for overpriced food.

price is good but service is not. I ordered 20 pcs of sushi and have 2 pcs of rice sit aside and the server came to me with "you gotta finish everything". Food is okay. Salmon is not fresh but not too bad. Same with tuna and yellowtail. Eel is good. Their waygu addon is okay. $8 for 2 pcs of beef. oyster is not good.In general it's fine in the $22 ayce sushi restaurant range.

I wasn't able to experience the hibachi vibe, out of town so I was dining alone. The table service of filet with shrimp was delightful. I showed up without a reservation and was seated quickly. The food was out rather quickly and was delicious. I will definitely be coming back here in the future
