Sammy's Pizza and Restaurant

Good pizza - 4 stars!This is the third attempt at a successful pizza shop in this location in the past 10 years. Sammy's is the latest and they recently opened for business. They're a small Midwest pizza chain that's been around since 1954. They're obviously doing many things right to be around for so long.I like Sammy's Pizza. Mansetti's Pizza is still my all-time local favorite in the immediate area. But Sammy's is pretty good. I'm not wowed by the toasted subs. Pizza is obviously the star performer. But they also have salads, munchies (like chips), a couple dessert pizzas, soda in 20 ounce bottles, and stacks of frozen pizzas to take home.This isn't a sit-down restaurant. It's strictly pickup. They don't have an in-house delivery crew so if you want it delivered to your front door, you'll need to hire an on-line food delivery service.Thumbs up!-Maxx

I dunno, reviews aren't great but the sandwich I had is AMAZING!! Super friendly staff, good prices, locally owned. Seems like this is pretty slept on!

Happy birthday to me. I received an email from Sammy's for my birthday. They offered me $15 towards a birthday dinner. We ordered their medium pizza with Canadian bacon and green olive. It was very good. I appreciate the birthday gift. We'll be back.

The fact that this pizza is being sold to the public like this is criminal!People like these dont spend their lives looking for a best pizza in the world. They couldn't even open the blinds to see what a real pizza pie looks like! The crust is stiffer than morning wood, obviously its a frozen crust. But whats more incriminating is the fact that they put the pepperoni beneath the cheese with minimal amount of tomato sauce! WHAT IN THE F#CK?!I purchased 4 pizzas and 2 pretzels and honestly the frozen gluten free from the supermarket was better.

Sammy's normally has excellent food, and I'm sure that our food would have been great...IF IT HAD ARRIVED. We were waiting for it, hungry, and I randomly checked my email and had a notice that our order had been cancelled. No reason why, just an email from "Slice" that it was canceled and any charges on my card would be returned. Will not be ordering from Sammy's again. We'll dine in at the restaurant, but won't be ordering for delivery again.

Yeah, I agree with many of the other reviews, clearly frozen/canned ingredients, and not even much of that. We ordered the supreme type and basically got a $30 cheese pizza. I don't see them staying in business long. Won't go back. Looking forward to trying the next restaurant that occupies that space.

I had high hopes for this, but unfortunately it left a lot to be desired. We ordered the house special. It lacked flavor of any kind hardly any sauce, but did have a good amount of cheese. The ground beef was the componant that seemed to come out the moat, again no flavor. For the price, we were definately disappointed and will most likely not order from here again.

Not sure what everyone is complaining about. This is really really good pizza. Love the crust! Never had an issue with the amount of toppings. The pizza tastes great, not the best out there but very close. Little on the spendy side but what isn't these days. Sign up for their coupons on FB and you some great deals too.
