Ryan's Cafe

Finally got to eat Mexican at Ryan's. It was delicious! Line was long, but moved quickly. Everything was so fresh & hot. Chips Were really good & taco salad was the best I've ever had! Mexican is served at lunch Tuesday-Thursday.

Ryan's cafe has to be one of the most underrated places to eat during lunch time! Every employee is so welcoming, kind and helpful. It's kind of rare to find this kind of atmosphere in this day in age. I'm sure the management plays a big role in keep the employees happy!The food tastes absolutely delicious and it's very customizable! I'm vegetarian and it's a big help when they're understanding and help make adjustments/substitutions due to my dietary restrictions. 100% would recommend this place!

Wide range of options to choose from. Quick, good price, and tasty mea option for lunch for those that work nearby.

Like any restaurants in a work building complex, the food is expensive for what it is. Yes, Ryan's Cafe's sandwiche prices and lunch meals are in the $8-10 range. Although that is in the high range, I don't mind paying it for the convenience of not driving, especially in the winter.Beside their ale cart salad bar, I love their chicken breast sandwich and is amazing for any restaurant. It is a real 1/2 size chicken breast which I cannot find it anywhere in Bloomington at any hour. Their daily freshly made soup is very good as well. If you are a vegitarian, they also have a very good vegi-burger which I do enjoy on a blue moon occassion.Yes, $8/sandwich can be high but the food is a very good quality here. If you have to work in the Normandale Lake's building complex, their personal service is quick and is well worth it IMHO.

When I don't have time to pack a lunch - which is most of the time, I am riding the elevator down to get a quick lunch. They are super busy for a couple of reasons - they are the only place to get a decent lunch if you can't get out of the building and two, their food is actually good. And MOST of the time you get what you pay for. The breakfast there is delicious. When my stomach is growling before lunch I head down for a croissant, but I've also had their HUGE pancakes and hash browns. You get a lot for your money as far as breakfast goes. Maybe I am just cheap or maybe it's the fact that I don't have lunch brought in most of the week so spending $7+ a day is too much, but I am a fan of the grilled cheese sandwiches, wraps, and salad bar. The staff is really friendly and they are fast! All they need in there is a special for some Chinese food because they have American food, salads, and Mexican. Sometimes stir fry just sounds good!

In this complex this is the best choice for a moderate-priced lunch counter. They always have a hot sandwich special, a wrap, and usually some other hot special.Good food and reasonably priced.Don't be put off by a long line, they are lighting fast and get you through with amazing speed.

We have turned to Ryan several times for in-office catering. He is wonderful to work with, very flexible, and open to your suggestions on how to up-level your order. He will even talk you through your orde rto make sure you are providing the right amounts and mixes of food for your group. The prices are more than fair and the food is wonderful! I always have happy clients after a meeting where we have Ryan provide our catering. I wish every caterer I worked with was as pleasant as Ryan!

I work very close to Ryan's and it's a great place to get a good lunch any day of the week! They have fresh food and very tasty. Very quick service and the staff could not be more friendly! I wish there was a location closer to my home so I could have that as an option in the evening or weekend!Only complaint is that sometimes the person making the food has food on his hands and it gets all over the to-go container and then on me!They also have a great frequent visitor card/program.Love the cookies!

There staff is very nice. That being said, they have subpar cafeteria food. Nothing there is extraordinary. It's passable. They don't seem to have a speciality or anything that stands out. I feel the ingredients they use are cheap and greasy while the price is pretty large. They have a captive market as there really aren't any cheap of fast options here in the normandale lake buildings. Every now and then I give this place a shot. It lets me down every time.

Ryan's is a good spot of breakfast, but damn is it hard to find. It is located on the bottom floor of an office building, and the signage is not good at all. I almost gave up on finding it despite what looked like good reviews on Yelp. Glad I didn't, as they were quick and had good food. I walked there from a hotel, but I'd imagine parking is tough if you don't work there.
