Small little local diner, food was good, service was good, pricing was good. Really couldn't ask for more, totally met what my best expectations would have been. Glad we chose to have breakfast here!

Needed a spot to eat breakfast on our way home fromthe North Shore and we landed on this place. We rolled up and we're a little weary, but we couldn't have picked a better spot. There are about a dozen tables inside, along with a handful of stools to sit at the breakfast counter. To our surprise it was busy, but we were able to seat ourselves right away. They have a variety of classic breakfast options as well as daily specials. You can also place orders for pick up!The bacon was a little undercooked for my preference and the sausage is pre made, but everything else was outstanding. The pancakes are OUT OF THIS WORLD. The hash browns were perfectly golden and they had a variety of breads to choose from- including muffin toast which is a close second to sourdough.You gotta check this place out if you're in the area or passing by!

I've not been back to Barnum in many years because of my time in the service. When my sister (the First Lady of Barnum) said we should check out the Rustic because the food was good, I thought "Why not?"To day this place is a hidden gem is an understatement! This place is a GREAT find in a small town! The food is amazing! And the owner, Todd, is a great host! He's also pretty damn funny. Breakfast is the best here so don't pass it by!

I love giving my business to local vs chain restaurants while traveling. It creates great memories and helps out a small business. In this case, 5 friends and I stopped in for breakfast while doing a charity relay run in the area. The only person that appeared to be working didn't seem to want us there and never came to our table after 10 minutes. We walked out and went to the Lazy Bear up the toad and it had delicious food and great service. If you don't want people not from the area to stop in and see you don't allow your establishment to be listed.

Stopped by on the way up from the Twin Cities to Gooseberry Falls and what a great find! The staff were great, friendly, and attentive. My coffee mug was always full! The hashbrowns are cooked perfectly with just the right crisp. The pancakes are pretty good but we really loved the french toast. Both of our meals came with a generous portion of bacon - cooked to perfection. Breakfast here was a great way to start our trip to the North Shore!
