Average Chinese buffet food - cheap prices - 3.5 stars.Royal Buffet definitely isn't a fancy Chef Ramsay or a stuffy farm-to-table type of place. Most of what they offer is the standard Chinese buffet fare...overcooked food in hot trays...and large variety of it. But the prices are amazingly inexpensive. You can eat all you want for lunch and only pay $9.99 (not including soda or tea). That's less than a McDonald's #1 Big Mac Meal! This is pretty amazing considering the prices of certain food items are doubling or tripling in these weird post-COVID inflationary times. Most of the entrees are chicken. But I saw one tray with salmon and one tray with beef. There was an interesting one with a fake crab meat casserole. (I didn't try it but my buddy liked it.) I didn't see any shrimp. I'm sure shrimp is expensive as hell these days. They have one thing I seldom see at a Chinese buffet, multiple flavors of hard ice cream in a cooler - the real deal - none of that soft serve stuff. That's a nice little bonus. You have to look for it though. The cooler is tucked away in a corner with a professional style scooper (in hot running water) mounted in the wall.As a couple of other reviews mention, the owners are super friendly and attentive. Two of the young daughters were running around, very cute and well behaved. The older girl actually took orders and accepted payments at the front desk. Nice! Finally, the restaurant is super clean, organized, and well cared for. And the food tables are fully stocked and seem to be replenished frequently. This is a great option for someone on a fixed income or a family that's tired of the standard fast food and pizza.- Maxx

I was really disappointed in my take out order from Royal Buffet. I ordered fried rice and hunan chicken. When I ordered i made sure to have my boyfriend to ask if either dish had mushrooms because I am allergic. The gal assured him there wasn't, but upon getting home and taking my first bite, there was mushrooms in my order. We made sure to verify TWICE before placing this order. My boyfriend ended up eating my food so I took the fried rice but it was the most bland fried rice I have ever eaten. I gave them an extra star because even though the order was messed up and the food not enjoyable, they do have nice staff members. I won't be going back unfortunately.

Royal buffet is a typical smaller town Chinese Buffet.Food is good. Don't go expecting a big city buffet. It's a nice mid size town buffet. Service is good. Ambiance is what you'd expect. They did start charging 3.50 for a glass of water not sure what that's about. Hopefully they stop doing that soon.

The take-out meal we had from here last night was wonderful. The kind woman who took my order happily made my sesame tofu extra crispy. And it was delicious! We also ordered egg foo young which was very good. And actually, the cream cheese wontons are the best I've ever had--and visually appealing (star shapes). Until now, I'd have to drive about a half hour to get good Asian food, and by the time I'd get home it would be cold and soggy. I've lived in this area for about 15 years, but had tried every other Aisan place besides Royal Buffet. Now it will be my go-to place! It's uplifting in a year where I haven't been able to eat out. At least now I can eat good take-out food IN.
