It had been a few years since I tried Rose Street Patisserie and I decided to give it another whirl recently.Overall it was a fine experience. Nothing extraordinary but not bad. No complaints on the iced coffee, very standard. The chocolate chip cookie looked burnt but wasn't, so that was a nice surprise. It was good but not amazing. I was disappointed in the pull apart pastry, which according to their site is like monkey bread. It wasn't sticky at all, I would have loved some gooey caramel. If you're looking for monkey bread, I actually wouldn't get this. If you want a cinnamon sugar bun with nuts, then this will be your jam. I may try Rose Street again at some point, but I don't often venture to St. Paul, so maybe not. Note: this was a DoorDash delivery.

I came on a weekday to try out some pastries. I bought the earl grey scone, chocolate croissant and the raspberry lychee tart as well as 2 coffees. Overall the baked goods were a little dry and the croissant wasn't as laminated as I would have liked. The coffees were ok and the raspberry lychee tart was definitely a highlight. A great mix of sweetness from the custard and tart/fresh. I'll come back to try more desserts but may skip the pastries. The workers were very nice and they do have a few tables if you wanted to sit but it's not a huge store.

I had higher hopes for this place. Before I start, the service was lovely! They are super friendly and helpful and the place is adorable. I got the egg salad on croissant and an earl grey and currant scone. The egg salad on croissant was average. I did appreciate that they filled it pretty well though so that's a plus. Otherwise, I've had better for the same price. The scone was the most disappointing part. I couldn't taste the earl grey and it didn't have much for currants. It tasted like a regular pastry without any flavoring. It was also hard as a rock, was hard to eat, and covered in sugar. I will say I will probably give this place another chance because I didn't try any of their desserts so we will see.

Delicious desserts we keep coming back for. Each cake is like a piece of art, like jewelry. The hardest part is to decide which one you want since they all look amazing.

Came in for a quick bite with a date and it was such a cute place! The shop is light and airy and the food is actually pretty spectacular! I actually don't remember the kind of baguette that I ordered but the butter croissants were out of this world good and they have great cold press coffee. I would definitely come back here with friends!

After a lot of walking around in the neighborhood, this place came in like a beacon. I found it just 15 minutes before it closes. I assumed they may have not wanted to serve anyone at this point...but they welcomed me in cordially and said I not only can order but "it's ok, sit down for a few minutes." After a long walk on a chilly day of exploring that was music to my ears. Ordered a seasonal latte (was it brown butter?? No idea but it was one of the best lattes I've had recently!) and the Mont Blanc: a taste of heaven. Chocolate, almond, cream...i had a total moment of bliss. Though I did not stay long, grateful to have discovered this sweet place and thankful to the two girls who did not rush me!

Drooling! Love everything about this place! My favorite - the olive loaf! Can't go wrong with the coffee drinks and desserts too! The service is always fantastic. And the quality of ingredients are superb. Great ingredients equate to quality in the food and beverage they serve. It shows. Treat yourself. You are worth it.

We only had the breakfast items, but we ordered many different kinds. The glass case is very appetizing. Everything is labeled and laid out easily in front of you to make the right decision! The best thing they had was the Pecan Cinnamon Pull Apart. The combination of pecans, cinnamon roll, and powdered sugar... it was extremely good. Also, it wasn't too sweet!I don't think the croissants were anything special, but it seemed the other items were great. My wife really liked the Kouign-Amann and thought it potentially rivaled other great experiences in the city.

The desserts are outstanding However the Quiche Lorraine I was served was way over cooked - a burned taste to it - and completely discolored egg portion. Obviously either over baked in the oven or rewarded too many times in the oven that burned the crust and tainted the quiche portion. Terrible. Shocking that they'd both serve it and not offer compensation for bad food.

I loved the Rose during the pandemic, friendly staff and excellent $3.00 flourless cookies. This was a beautiful sanctuary. After hassling with trying to find parking on a busy corner Selby/Snelling I was shocked to find staff that gaslit me about their baked goods. Denied they had ever served flourless cookies there and then super toxic reaction of being angry and defensive when I said neighbors/myself bought them there. WOW, must be rough to find staff now to get these 3 women, who despite an almost empty shop, could not respond professionally and the three stared/ used angry eyes at me after I ordered but refused to get my order. Had to keep saying, "I need to get to work, may I get my order?" Points to the baker as they were yummy, but the lack of interpersonal skills, and impulse control causes me to wonder "who would hire these misanthropes?"
