I'll start by saying that I don't take lightly leaving a low-scoring review. I looked for silver lining to try to find some optimism in each experience. In this case, I surely hope that I caught this restaurant in a bad (very bad) day. Two stars because the soup had a decent flavor and the rest of the entree was passable (albeit lacking in flavor). However, there were a lot of red flags that occurred while I was here. I stopped here with a coworker on our way to a meeting at a local hotel around the corner. Truth is, we had approximately an hour to eat before our meeting....and we were be it h hungry. How could one go wrong w/ Chinese. Truthfully, if I had more time on my hands we would have gone elsewhere very shortly after being seated. We walk into a completely empty restaurant. The time is around 1pm. Lunch hour. Not promising.....but I don't pre-judge. We walk up to the host stand and wait for someone to come greet us. Eventually, someone does....he asks us, "Can I help you with something?" ....as if there would be some questions as to why were there.....in a restaurant.....around lunchtime....um. I'm Flabbergasted....I let him know that we'd like to eat......Next up.....drinks. My co worker asked if they had Coke or Pepsi products. The server (same person that seated us) said Pepsi. My co-worker asked for Dr. Pepper.....then Sierra Mist after being told they didn't have that.....after the 3rd attempted finally asked him what they DID have....the answer: Pepsi & Diet Pepsi. Sigh. I asked foe a water w/ lemon. When both drinks arrived they were basically warm drinks with no ice....we had to ask for ice. Oh....and I had to ask again foe a lemon....which when it came, looked awful.....it wasn't something I was interested in putting in my drink. Then the menu.....nice wood covered menu. Until you opened it. Without exaggeration, nearly 1/3 of the items on the menu were marked out w/ black sharpie marker indicating they no longer offer those items. I find the chicken and broccoli dish. W/ a soup. The soup arrives and actually tastes decent. Not groundbreaking .....but ok. Then the entree came. It lacked flavor all the way around. It looked good, but really was a far cry from something tasty. Again, I hope that was an exceptionally bad day for this establishment....but quite frankly it was one of the poorest experiences I've had in a long time. If I'm ever back in town, I won't plan on stopping here again.

Visiting Rose Garden is a very interesting experience. The space itself is much fancier than you expect when you enter it from its entrance amid a low-end strip mall. However, you immediately notice no one dining inside and only picking up take-out orders. I ate here for lunch and was the ONLY person amongst 50 tables or so.Service is pretty minimal as they appear to staff specifically for take-out business with a kitchen pumping out food and only one lady popping up every now and then to man the front and the tables. As for the food, most of it was surprisingly better than expected with one exception. The pork gyoza were fantastic and plentiful. The cream cheese wontons also quite good. However, when it came to the chicken Pad Thai, it was done quite poorly. The noodles were chewy, the meat was minimal, and there was a clump of what appeared to be ground peanuts that couldn't really be separated into the dish. Overall, this dish was one of the lesser versions I've ever had. There were a few surprises (gyoza and wontons) but also some letdowns (Pad Thai and service). The prices are reasonable. All in all, it's not a bad place.. especially if you choose to dine in for some peace and quiet.

I am spending the weekend at home as my SO is deer hunting. I wanted some Asian food and decided to try somewhere new. I used Door Dash for delivery and ordered the Hot and Sour soup which was absolutely delicious I would have again. I also ordered shrimp curry very fresh huge shrimp flavor was good I have leftovers and would spice it up a little. It came with rice and chow mein noodles packaged well with a piece of cardboard on the bottom of the bag nothing spilled. I will be back

The food is very good, especially my weakness, the coconut shrimp! Compared to some other places in the metro, the food might only be 4 , but there is also a better than average selection with Chinese, Japanese and Thai. It's the service that gets this place a 5 star rating. I've never had an incorrect order, prompt, and they are doing a superb job with pandemic precautions. I feel very safe eating their food, the same can't be said for some other places in Brooklyn Center. So glad to have them nearby!

I came here on account of the 4-star rating, and I was just next door at Target. Walked in and there were two tables seated at lunch time on a weekday...hmmm...It took a little longer than expected for me to get seated, since they had two people working the front and they were not busy at all. The place has an upscale vibe, with a full bar, and beautiful wood furniture and decor. The menu is a strange eclectic mix of Japanese, Thai, and Chinese.I ordered the Shrimp and Chinese Vegetable lunch special. The price was great at $6.25.Well when it arrived I was thoroughly underwhelmed with the portion size and how it looked. It was barely a cup of rice, and the Chinese veg were just the whites of large bok choy, mixed with celery, a few pea pods, and zucchini slices. And there were 4 shrimps. Yep. 4. The white garlic sauce was entirely too salty (and I have a very high tolerance for salt), and laced with MSG. I thought, "oh great, I'll still be hungry, and have a headache on top."I ended up ordering an extra bowl of rice. The young man server was on his phone the entire time, and I had get up from my table to the counter The silver lining was that they did not charge me for the extra rice.Sorry Rose Garden. I won't be back. I should have gone to Ocean Buffet instead.

We went here at about 5:00 on a weekday afternoon. The place was empty. We ordered our food, which was pretty good. My order was supposed to be spicy but it wasn't so I tried to get waiter's attention. Even though we were the only people in the place, I had to go over by the bar where he was chatting with someone to get some chili sauce. We had to try to get his attention for anything we needed. Our food was good but nothing fantastic. Just a little frustrated by lack of service being that we were alone in a large restaurant.
