Rollin Nolen's BBQ

I tried the dry rub wings. They were AMAZING. Well seasoned, just super flavorful, crisp, cooked well through. 10/10 would order them again. I chose hush puppies as my side and that I would pass on again. They weren't flavorful and were to have been frizzled with honey but lacked that too. I tried someone's garlic Parmesan wings and they appeared to be the same original dry rubbed chicken with a sauce. I would prob pick the dry rub over the garlic parm. Someone else tried the ribs and also gave them praise. I completely appreciate that it comes with a full meal of a side and a soda cause most food trucks you pay the same amount for just 1 food item. The line was long but the food got out quicker than I thought it would. Can't say much for ambiance as it's a food truck and the ambiance is only as good as where it rolls. Will definitely grab wings from here again if I see the truck.

Enjoyed Rollin Nolen's at the Hopkins Food Truck Festival. We ordered the pulled pork loaded fries (very flavorful, a good amount of pulled pork and sauce) and a sausage that we cut up to share. We ordered at a table outside of the truck and waiting just a few minutes for our name to be called. Quick, tasty, falls off the bone!

If it's busy, even remotely, I would recommend skipping this truck.We were at the Edina Art Fair and I thought their Pulled Pork Fries sounded good. They were okay, nothing to write home about. What was worse was the service. It took over 30 minutes to get my fries, after they told me it would take 10 minutes. The woman who ordered behind us got the same thing, but when her name was called, some other lady came and took hers. She must have been tired of waiting, since she demanded her money back. And rightfully so, the woman serving her couldn't tell her when her order would be ready, nor did she even apologize for the inconvenience or mixup.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would! These guys came out to our work parking lot and served up some of the BEST bbq I have had to date. Friendly service, good variety, incredibly delicious, and large portions. If you see these guys out and about I recommend you stop and get some tasty food!

Rollin Nolen's has been hanging outside of my place of employment on occasion over the last two years, so I've had a chance to try a good portion of their offerings.It seems as if most of the smoked things on the menu have the same thing in common - a pretty aggressive amount of smoke flavor and being somewhat dry. The ribs, rib tips and pulled pork are fine, but are mostly just smoke and the accompanying sauce. Some of the sides are pretty good (cheese curds) and some aren't worth the calories (the too sweet/cinnamony baked beans and soggy fries).Prices are pretty reasonable so you can get a filling meal for around twelve bucks, just temper your expectations.

I have only heard about this truck when I attended the Food Truck Extravaganza in Stillwater. My bf remembered getting food from them a few years ago when they parked at his workplace. He remembered the pulled pork sandwich being good. I was gonna go for the pulled pork sandwich per the recommendation but last minute at the counter decided to do the loaded pulled pork fries. Let me tell you that I'm glad I went for it. The portion was huge and they were generous on the meat. The meat was tender and tasted smoky. The fries were crispy and seasoned with Cajun spice. I asked for extra bbq sauce on it. The other sauce was sriracha. It was full of flavor. I recommend checking them out if you see them around. The only thing they need to work on is customer service. They weren't terrible, but just needed to be more attentive. I was greeted at the counter but just left at that - not a one moment please. I waited for a good five minutes until someone acknowledged and took my order. And then I had to repeat my order a few times because they were distracted. Mind you there were no lines either.

I'll say 3.5 stars. The service is friendly and fast with reasonable prices and portion sizes for a food truck. I stopped by on a very busy day and they handled a long line like champs. I had the BBQ spare ribs, which were good by Minnesota standards. After visiting cities like Austin and Nashville, I NEED to find a good BBQ spot here in the Twin Cities. Unfortunately, this place fell short by those standards. Pretty similar to Famous Dave's. Overall, would stop again if I needed to satisfy the craving.

Rollin Nolen's came to a recent neighborhood event and they rocked it: rib tips and pulled pork sandwiches were excellent, both served with their homemade sauce--so good. And to top it off, the service is awesome, such kind, friendly and fun owners!

They brought their food truck to our office building and it was a huge hit! Feedback was excellent. Very friendly and served everyone quickly! They arrived early, opened on time, had a great menu at fair prices and served us absolutely delicious food! I will definitely be inviting them back!! Thanks for a great event!

Rollin Nolen's BBQ was at my apartment building today for lunch service. Geez, the smells coming out of that truck were heavenly! I had to wait for some friends to arrive before I ordered; that was difficult because I was salivating and chomping at the bit. All the food seemed really fresh and nothing deep fried (French fries, cheese curds, hush puppies) was too oily. I dislike oily fries! These ones were great. I ordered the loaded pulled pork fries and received a whole lotta food! I have leftovers for dinner. The pork was smokey and tender, the sauce and siracha added a nice kick. I only took a star off my review because they did not bring some items that were on their menu (drinks, ribs, potato salad) and I heard other residents complaining about it. But everyone loved the food that they ordered!!
