What a great little spot for breakfast. Very fast and friendly service and the breakfast that we ordered was good. Highly recommend the corned beef hash and the eggs Benedict. We also took some pie and cinnamon rolls to go. Their bakery items were delicious.

Good food and great service. Baked goods are excellent. Bathrooms are clean. Staff is familiar with the local area and can point you toward things to see and do when you're in town. I had a special request on food and they were accommodating. Will stop in again.

I wandered in here because a young lady recommended their milkshakes. While i was there I felt i had to order something and i noticed a lot of elderly folks enjoying their meal. I was a little grossed out while waiting due to the old carpeting on the floor and the dried floral arrangements. This place is old and dated and I just can't get past the atmosphere. We got chicken sandwich and chicken tenders they were low quality frozen bag types and they serve the water in old plastic tumblers. Yuck!

Little diner style place. I had the French dip and coffee my sister had grilled cheese and cream of chicken and wild rice soup. She said soup was good, sandwich ok and mine was dry but the au ju makes it all better, fries were good and all that for $17. Pretty affordable eats. Service was good and pretty fast. Decor was like being at grandmas house with lots of fake flowers. If your hungry and passing through not a bad choice

A diner frozen in time (in the best way possible). This place is a great local restaurant. My first visit I had the beef hotshot, which was pretty good. Today I had a bowl of tomato soup and a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. Both were great and helped warm me up on this freezing winter day. The atmosphere is laid back and it seems like everyone knows each other here. The service was super friendly as well. I'd like to try their breakfast, which I'm guessing is pretty fantastic.Second visit back (the next day) I had the hot meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. It definitely came with plenty of gravy! It was a good meal. Very rich, savory, and filling. It was an old school type of meal for sure.

I have been dining here for years, and I cannot believe my neglect in not posting a review! I have been here for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and pie (usually to go), and all is great along with wonderful service! Support local businesses! They need us like we need them!

I was expecting a four star experience based upon its rating - boy was I mistaken! This place has a very hometown feel, and it really encompasses what the town of Aitkin is. The decor is a flashback to the 60s and is so very cute!I ordered a bacon blue cheese burger with seasoned fries, and my boyfriend got the roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. Both meals were stupendous, but I was dumbfounded by how much I loved the roast beef special! It tasted just like how my grandma makes her version of the meal. The bacon on my burger was superb, crispy and flavorful, and the burger overall was divine.The waitstaff was friendly and attentive and talked to us like we were regulars although this was our first time being there.I don't do many Yelp reviews, but I decided that this place deserved more than a 4 star average based upon my experience.
