RJ's Meats

Love this small meat market! Cheese and curds galore, packaged sausages, pickles, fresh bread and rolls, Boar's Head deli products, and (of course) they have the fresh cut meats (insert Arby's music here). There is also a selection of salads, chips, drinks, and basic grocery supplies. It is always a pricey trip when we stop in but the service is great and the products are high-quality.

Best meat market around. Not only great quality meats and sausages, but sliced meats at their deli are very good!

IF you want the best bacon, look no further. Highly recommend the breakfast links and brats as well.

Cute meat market. Reminded me of a place my grandparents would frequent back in the day. We actually stopped in looking for some cheese curds. Found them. They had the Ellsworth brand; taco flavored which were pretty good. They also had a section of meat sticks. The only bummer was not finding any garlic flavored ones, but we settled for the meat and cheese. Also grabbed some flaky layered rolls which were quite good.Lots and lots of meat to choose from. Would stop back on a drive through WI.

Great meat. I used to go here for thick cut bacon and brats. They recently started selling their bacon ONLY in one pound prepackaged plastic wraps. SAY WHAT? It's ridiculous that I can't order what I want and have it wrapped in a nice paper wrapper. If I wanted a pound of plastic wrapped bacon, I would go to the grocery store and not waste my time asking the guy behind the butcher counter to hand it to me. Really disappointed in this change.Service is sometimes slow, even when there are several guys behind the counter AND there aren't many people waiting. Not sure what that is all about.

Meat. Vending. Machines. So let me back-up to the beginning. I was turned on to this place by a couple of Hudsonites who had some really good sliced meats at a get together. They raved about the place, their specialty and seasonal meats and everything else and all I needed to do was sign up for their e-mail to be in-the-know. So a couple of years ago I did just that and now the place is always knocking on my inbox with a "Yo Steve! Your freezer needs some brats". So this is my go to place "in town" for brats when I want something special (35m drive from Minneapolis). Their stuff is solid and they do a lot of unique flavors. I mean, I had their Hawaiian brat recently that had pineapple and maraschino cherries in it and it was really good. I slather my brats with with all sorts of veggies, kimchi, kraut, tomatoes, avocado, etc. anyway so why not a little more? Dill pickle brat? Check. Philly brat? Got that too. They even supply some of the meat to The Winzerstube, that German restaurant on the main drag that my parent's friends, all from the old country, say is their favorite of the bunch in the Twin Cities area. But it is the Weisswurst that RJ's supplies to that above restaurant that always has me coming back. Now Weisswurst (also spelled WeiBwurst as that B is a double S in the Germanic language) is friggin delicious. WeiBwurst is ground wicked fine. Finer then any brat you have had in your life. Plus, part of the meat is veal which makes it even more tasty. It is an amazing brat that you rarely find anywhere else. In fact, I've only been able to find it consistently at RJ's since they supply the restaurant. If you don't see it in the case, ask. There's stuff in back. But one of my issues has always been timing as more than once I've tried to stop and shop as I was driving through town and they were closed. But no more. Our little slice of the Midwest now has access, 24/7, to a butcher shop!!!! WHAT?!?!?!?!?!(Insert Elaine from Seinfeld shove right here) Well it's not that the store is open, but they have refrigerated meat vending machines. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!(Insert another Elaine shove right here)Three words I never imagined I would type together but there they f'ng are. God Bless this country(as I wipe a tear from my eye). Meat. Vending. Fabulous meat market!! You can taste the difference absolutely delicious. Customer service is first class. Best place around.

Excellent Meat and Fantastic Service , Great Asset to the valley, Nice selection of meat and deli products

My friend who lives in Hudson LOVES this place, so we stopped in last weekend when we were traveling through. Bought thin cut bone in pork chops, just grilled them tonight-and they were seriously the best chops we have ever had. Shop there if you ever get a chance!!!
