Ray J's American Grill has potential, but the wings are hit or miss.When the wings were good, they were some of the best I've ever had--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Unfortunately, the inconsistency makes it hard for me to fully recommend them. Some wings came out underwhelming, which was disappointing after experiencing how great they can be at their best. With more consistency, this place could easily be a go-to spot for wing lovers, but for now, I'd say it's worth a try if you're willing to take a chance.

Have you ever had a place you really want to like, but each experience just prevents you from doing so. It's a great building , lay out, has lots of bourbon so it's not the offerings that I don't like. It's really the feeling of not being welcomed, hard to explain but I always feel that I'm doing something wrong or have offended them some how.. just get the vibe that I'm not welcome. Not sure why. But if I walk down to lucky guys I instantly get treated like family..just an odd thing.

I ate wings at Ray-J's sports bar in Woodbury. I would have to say they do have the best wings in the Twin Cities. I agreed with wcco. I know I am only here for a few more days but I have to get a full order before I leave. Well worth it!

I order the blackened chicken salad. It's a little spicy for me. My brother in law order a hamburger and it's okay. My sister order the same salad but she doesn't want romaine lettuce. Because the salad green was premixed different lettuces she was not happy with it. They replaced with the chicken Parmesan with roti pasta. She love it.

Been a while since I've dined in, I've been ordering takeout from here. The one thing they can absolutely work on is serving the nachos dish to their customers right when the order is ready. You can tell it sits under the warmer for a while so when it's served the cheese is hard which made eating it harder as everything is stuck together. Otherwise everything is still tasting great like always. Still the best tasting wings around here!

Service was terrible, we waited for 45 minutes for our food, and the waiter finally came over and said the kitchen messed up and food should be another 5-10 minutes.. we waited another 30 minutes and still didn't receive our food. The waiter avoided our table and we sat with empty drinks until we just left.. place is really going down hill from what it use to be,, I would of been fine with the mix up cause I understand stuff happens, but to be completely ignored and avoided was crappy. We got there at opening so it wasn't busy when we ordered.. left with 2 crying hungry children.,
