Rae's Bar and Grill

I was in the area for a few days for a work event and found a hotel right across the street. Walked over ordered a bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado sandwich, and tater tots all for 10 bucks. They included the credit card processing fee to round it out to 12. I was hoping for a little thicker bacon but all in all it was a good meal. I would return and I recommend.

Went there for lunch today and the food was great. Eye appealing, tasted great and came to our table hot. The bartender Rae was a lot of fun. I look at cleanliness of a restaurant and Rae's gets 5 stars! If you haven't been here try them you won't be disappointed !! I'll be back.

The menu we found on line for Raes sounded really good, and it was really promising. My sister is dairy free and I am a vegetarian... and my niece has no restrictions. We drove 30 min to get to shell lake and found a flock of people arriving on a Thursday night. There were tables open, but nothing seemed really organized.... And it filled up fast.... Anyway, in fact we had chosen to come on a bingo night () and there was only one server for the whole place at first. Another guy showed up to help her eventually, but it was pretty slow. But through no fault of the servers. However, we waited a long time for our food, as there were a lot of people there and unfortunately it was all pretty over cooked. My nieces buffalo mac and cheese was fine, but my veggie burger was pretty dry, my sisters egg rolls were right at the point of being burned, and the app we ordered- brussel sprouts that were roasted and seasoned, came after the main dishes and were absolutely overdone. I understand the situation, the service would have been tolerable if the food hadnt been overdone. I will say the sweet potato fries I had were delicious. Probably a different day would have been more successful. I do understand that help these days is really hard to find.

Great food!! Burger cooked to perfection. Big portions. 8/10 for Bloody Mary. Chicken wings were excellent! Service was nice, very laid back relaxing place. I would definitely recommend this place.
