Pub 500

We enjoyed a lovely pre-hockey game beer and bite recently at Pub 500. They were extremely busy but our server was still attentive and we got our drinks and food in a normal timeframe. They have a nice selection of beers on tap and a menu with some unique choices which I always appreciate. I had the hot honey chicken sandwich and it was good. The cheese curds were also tasty!

My wife, 8 month old daughter, and I came here for a celebration with 15 other people--we did not pick the location but were happy to try it out. Our servers and the wait staff were upbeat and quick to get us started with drinks and orders. It was easy to place orders as a sub-group within the larger group and they did not mix up our order. People were there to celebrate or watch a game or two and thus the atmosphere was jovial. The reason it gets 2 stars is that the food was not very good and everything was over-priced. My wife got the Diablo Burger and said it was mediocre and not spicy at all. She loves fries and potatoes and said that even the fry-wedges were bland. I ordered a spring mix salad and found it to be just okay. Finally I ordered the Norwegian wings, as wings go they were fine, however there was nothing Norwegian about them (also 20 wings cost $36). My wife had a NA Beer as well. In the end we paid $90 for food we largely didn't like and both felt was over-priced.

We love this place! Known for their Sloppy Joe, it's always a safe staple to order. Their homemade chips are absolutely amazing. The beer-battered fish and chips was fantastic, alongside a perfectly poured Black-&-Tan, it's well worth ordering. The mushroom & Swiss was excellent as well. Great local place to hang out, it offers a relaxing atmosphere and the service is top notch. One of our favorites in Mankato.

Pub 500 has once again put together a delicious and efficient breakfast buffet for my riders on Mnbeerbus's Oktoberfest buses. We have been using them for 15+years and have never had an issue. The drinks are awesome too.

I recently went to Pub500 for a happy hour (07/05) and we ordered a fish taco (more like a fish burrito) and the Norwegian salad. Both delicious! So we booked brunch for the day after our wedding for 20+ guests to take place the following Sunday (07/14). Both times the food was delicious, the service was amazing and friendly, we'll definitely be back!

The food is awesome. My fish n chips was outstanding, the fish fried to perfection and the fries were the best I have had in years. The Cole slaw was excellent. The service by Pauline was amazing, she is awesome. The dessert , bread pudding is to die for. What a great culinary experience. Very nice ambiance. Highly recommend Pub 500.

Service was phenomenal! Came in for brunch around 10:15 on a Sunday and our waitress was wonderful. We had the Bloody Mary burger, Good Gravy, and two of the specialty Bloody Mary's! It was pretty quiet around this time so no reservation needed. Would definitely visit this place again next time we are in town.

I just wanted to take the time to thank the employees Adam and Laura (I'm sorry if I misspelled any names) that helped me today. I was in a very scary situation and the staff went above and beyond with making sure I got home safely. It was busy as well for them but the kindness they showed towards me I will never forget. I am so grateful and thankful for people like them. I will for sure come back not only for the great food but for the homey atmosphere and wonderful employees!

Heads up... park in the back or in the ramp, it's nearly impossible to get parking in front of the restaurant.We ordered stoner chips as an appetizer, pulled pork and cheese over homemade potato chips with some ranch ish sauce drizzled over it. Very good. I ordered turbo meatballs off of the appetizer menu, comes with 4 meatballs and potato wedges with buffalo sauce and Italian sauce.. it could have used more meatballs otherwise it would be hard to split with more than 2 people. My wife ordered buffalo wings. The food tasted great, only lost 1 star due to the lack of meatballs in the turbo meatballs making it a little high priced and challenging to share with a group and ended up being about a $50 bill essentially for 3 appetizers. Service was great as well, efficient, friendly, and we didn't have to wait long for anything.

Food was cold and not very good! They didn't have the vegan options that they advertised. Charged for sides and extra sauce. Overall a very disappointing experience.
