We took our toddler and infant there for their morning brunch on Sunday. The weather was beautiful, we sat outside, which provided a great ambience. The one thing to know, is that there aren't a tremendous amount of options for their brunch, unless you do the family style. And you must be prepared to have everyone at the table order, which makes sense, it's just good to know before heading over!Service was a little slow, but I believe the server was training in. Prices are also a little bit steep, but to be expected on a golf course.

I haven't been to Prestwick in years, despite living less than a mile away. Why? It's overpriced. But, with fall rates in-play, I decided to give it another try today. And, much as I remembered it from the past, it's simply a mediocre course with a premium course price tag. Don't get me wrong; it's not a complete dog track, but it's not Stone Ridge or Troy Burne quality, despite the price tag rivaling theirs. I'd be fine playing it more regularly at $60-$70 a round, but there's no way anyone should ever play this course at anything over $80 - it's just not worth it.

It's been quite aa while since I've played here. Probably will be some time before I return. The facility seems to be suffering from delusions of grandeur. It is not a $100 course with so many excellent options in the area. It's in very nice condition and pace is good but high $$$ green fees and $12 beers just don't do it for me. I've played some world class courses including Pinehurst, Castle Pines CC and some TPCs. - all were better values than Prestwick.

I'm going to let the cat out of the bag with this review. Hidden past the veneer of Woodbury you can find a little gem of a patio at the back of some residential housing and look out over a gorgeous golf course while having some decent appetizers and drinking a fine cocktail or a beautiful wine served in the appropriate glass. I frequent this place after a stressful day or when I just want some peace and to unwind and have a great drink and an ah-haaaaa moment or two. Good happy hour prices and pleasant staff.

Went for dinner today. Server was very nice. The food was not, we ordered an app that never came, they served my club soda in an dirty glass that nobody noticed, we had the steak sandwiches with fries, the stake was tough and not very appetizing. I had asked for the fries to be crispy, they were not. The server kept apologizing, I told her it wasn't her fault that the bartender served me in a dirty glass or that the steak was tough, I felt bad for her. We got no apologies from management. It's too bad because it is a lovely place to eat outside.

Overall, Prestwick is a well maintained track and one the better options for public golf in the East metro.Though the course is built into the adjoining Wedgewood neighborhood, you seldom feel too closed in by the many houses lining the course. The course itself is well maintained, with greens that run true and slightly fluffy fairways. The staff, from the starters to the pro shop, have always been friendly and any place I can imbibe upon a Surly or two while channeling my inner Danny Noonan is doing something right. The restaurant has undergone a few changes since the last time I stopped in, so I can't speak to the current Osterria concept, but it appears the facilities haven't changed too much over the years.Just be the ball, be the ball, be the ball. You're not being the ball Danny.

I practically grew up on this golf course, so for me, it's a 5, but i'll try to be as objective as possible. It's an 18 hole course, and I find it pretty interesting. There's water hazards, hills, out of bounds, sand traps, etc. A couple of the holes have two very different tee placement options (i.e today you might tee off beind the water, tomorrow you might tee off to the side of the water), which keeps things interesting, if you play here often. The course is pretty well maintained. They usually upgrade one hole per year, and that hole tends to be worse than the rest (one year, for most of the season, one of the par threes had a 'fake green' while its permanent green was reshaped, which was just awful, but the rest of the course was in great shape). There are permanent port-a-potties halfway through each 9. There's water every 3 holes or so. The course is walkable. There's a good-sized practice green. There are two driving range areas, I think the far range is members only (but it's no nicer than the public range!).A few years back, they took out the snack bar and replaced it with Axel's, a 'fine-dining' restaurant. Which is fine, except that between nines I want a Coke or hotdog, not seared scallops. One of the planned improvements for 2008 is to install an outdoor snackbar, but I'm not sure when it will be completed.I see two main downsides. First, the price. I hear Eagle Valley is almost as nice and a lot cheaper (but I've never played there). I think twilight play is a good choice - twilight starts about 4 hours before sundown, super twilight 2 hours. If you get one of the first teetimes in twilight you can definitely finish 18 or 9 at a pretty good discount. Second, they take a lot of tournaments and leagues. The tournaments will take a block of time during the day. Most leagues are weekly and in the early evening. So, if you are booking an evening tee-time, I recommend asking if you're going out after a league (since they can be slow).

I attended a wedding reception here recently, so this review is not for the golf course, but for their banquet space. I didn't eat here so I cannot comment on the food (although I saw what the guests were served and it all looked very shiny with butter). My feedback is purely based on the layout of the banquet room. Each and every doorway of the banquet room was lined with busing carts, creating an absolute clusterf*ck at every turn. I'd like to give the person who thought this was a good idea a piece of my mind. I'd give them only one star, but I did like the seating area by the fireplace.

Played here for the first time today. Overall, very pleasant experience. Course was in fantastic shape! Staff were kind, friendly, professional and personable. Only thing keeping it from 5-Stars is the price. It's a bit expensive ($75 walking). Don't let that deter you from trying it out!
