Dinner at Porzana was nothing short of amazing!! It's the perfect place for a date night. Very intimate with its dim vibe on the inside. Steaks were amazing and I would go chimichurri over gorgonzola for your choice of sauce.Amazing service and overall a great experience. Street parking may be your best bet but that's also tough due to the heavy food scene in that area.

Wow. What an incredible dining experience. We loved Porzana, and honestly wouldn't have experienced it had a colleague not gifted us with a gift card! The ambience was amazing, the convenient (and safe) valet was a bonus, the service was impeccable, and the food was 5-star plus. As my husband said, "This might be the best meal I've had in Minnesota." We had Nick (with the beard) as a server, who was one of the best, genuine servers that we've ever had (and that's coming from James Beard and Michelin star restaurants!). His recommendations were spot on - the bone marrow oysters were divine and out of this world (and I've eaten the crap out of oysters in NOLA). The endive salad - though slightly overdressed - was delectable with bacon lardo and the sweetest tomatoes I've ever had. The blue fin crudo was excellent with a kick to it, and the steak recommendations were spot on. I told our server straight out that we would "never go back to Manny's" after the steak experience at Porzana. I had the 6 ounce grass-fed filet, while my husband had the 14-ounce New York strip. I've had a lot of good meals in my lifetime, but this one topped my top 10 in the world. Definitely my go-to recommendation as the best restaurant in all of Minnesota. Thanks for an amazing meal, incredible service (Nick!), and a wonderful night. Well done. Two thumbs up.

WOW. My expectations were sky high coming into this dining experience, and let me tell ya, they were MET! My parents were gifted a gift card for our family to come here and celebrate my brother moving to Minnesota, so I will say, we felt extra special because it was like Monopoly money. But what an experience to be gifted - highly recommend!AMBIANCE:The vibes here are 10/10. Low lighting, cozy ambiance, buzzing but not loud. SERVICE:Our server was exceptional - he knew everything on the menu, down to how to describe each different cut of beef. Now that's impressive!STARTERS:We started with the bread basket - including GF bread upon request and WOW that was delish bread and brown butter. We also ordered the chipas, Brazilian cheese bread - that spicy sauce for dipping was unreal!SIDES:We were a group of 5, so we got a handful of sides:Carrots: So delish, soft and tasted almost like sweet potatoesBroccoli: I wouldn't recommend - very spicy with heavy jalapeñosTallow Fries: OMG so dreamy, great for sharing!Papas Aplastadas: We agreed this was our FAVE of the night. MUST ORDER!MAINS/MEAT:Let's put it this way... we weren't shy. We got the Sea Bass, Koji Inoculated steak, and Picanha steak and each was unreal. I love that there are options for both small and huge cuts here, from affordable pricing to extravagant. That's very rare for a steak-forward restuarant! I also loved that they cut some of the steak offerings so it's easy to share. Perfect for a group!DRINKS:We ended the night with some drinks - I really enjoyed my aperitif. COST:We had a $400 gift card and didn't even hit it with all our food ordered, so we ended with post-meal cocktails. ALL of that amazing food for under $100 per person is incredible!

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Porzana. I had mentioned it was our anniversary celebration in the online reservation and they sent over a complimentary drink which I thought was very sweet. The vibe here is intimate and upscale. There is a nice large bar that runs through the restaurant with plenty of seating. Our server was attentive, friendly, and had good recommendations. I ordered the picanha medium and it was cooked perfectly. My partner ordered the entraña, which i tried and preferred because it was a smoother texture and less chewy. Both were tasty. Choice of side sauce is complimentary with steak. The mashed potatoes, however, were our favorite part. They were smooth and tasty and the gravy they came with was delicious. One portion of the mashed potatoes is enough for 2 people.I would definitely recommend for a special night out. Make reservations!

The food at Porzana is always incredible! I wouldHighly recommend making a reservation, the hostess with the glasses can be a bit strict at times with no reservation even in slow periods. You don't want to put in the shame section standing next to the wall until she decides she's happy with you again! Anything you get here will melt in your mouth and be on your mind for weeks to come. Porzana will always have a fan in me. I've brought friends, family members, dates, held work events here, and I LOVE their speakeasy....but shhhhhh if I told you where the speakeasy was I'd have to...you know the rest. If you love food and yourself go to Porzana.

Celebrated my birthday with a delicious dinner at Porzana! This place was recommended by a coworker and I am so pleased with my experience. My server along with the delicious food made my experience so special! I had the Entrañada Argentinian style steak with mashed potatoes and oysters. The steak was absolutely amazing. I paired this with the spicy chimichurri and it was delicious! The mashed potatoes were nice and fluffy and the oysters were great! We shared a bread basket although the bread was very hard. The place is beautiful and has a nice intimate atmosphere. I ended my night with the bread pudding a received the lavender gelato and glass of champagne as a birthday treat, they were delicious! Thank you again to my server, although I do not remember his name, he was so kind and made my night!

What a masterpiece. I will open with that. There was a lot of hype on this place, given the chef and that it was filling a long-vacant North Loop space.I liked the space itself - in an old brick building probably from the late 1800's/early 1900's. There aren't many buildings in the twin cities that have the patina of this space - exposed brick, original wood floors, etc. I really liked the upscale, yet relaxed vibe of the place. Our server was fantastic, too. He knew the menu and wine by the glass list very well and helped us navigate it. My one complaint was that the dining room was so dark that I had to turn my phone light on to read the menu (black font on brown paper). We shared the 18oz bone-in NY strip, the carrots, and the butternut squash caramelle pasta. Everything was excellent, not one dish disappointed, even slightly. The steak had a nice char on it that tasted like it was cooked on a wood flame. It was a prime cut so it was incredibly tender. The carrots came with a lime-infused whipped ricotta - who thinks of these combos? I have never raved about carrots before. Finally, the pasta was nuts. I never order pasta at meat-focused restaurants, but the caramelle were light and delicious. We finished off with gelato that were absolutely amazing - our server said it was homemade by the chef. It was a great dining experience!

The food was excellent. Service was hot and cold. Our order wasn't entered correctly. They seemed out of quite a few items in the menu.

From the same creators that brought you Martina, Porzana lives up to all the hype and particularly specializing in Argentinian wood fired steaks. Honestly everything from the cocktails to the entrees and even some birthday ice creams to cap it off were excellent. Service was top notch and our waiter was very knowledgeable on everything about the menu. Even with bringing our two kiddos with us, it was a very enjoyable dinner being seated next to the kitchen as the kids could see everything going on behind the scenes which kept them occupied majority of the meal. Props to the hostess for setting that up.'Til next time, cheers!
