Don't eat inside OR complain about the food, even if it's RAW. I was UNINVITED to NOT return!Exaggerated accusations of "Harassing the staff" over toppings on a Cheeseburger ? They really need to get their act, menu, prices and website coordinated and current.Received a partial refund for my RAW Cheeseburger, but was shorted.Never again!Taking my business elsewhere

I'm going to start off with the honest truth, this place wanted to be nice. If we were simply looking at the cosmetics, 3.5 out of 5. Not too many leaves on the course, greens were fast and the views were pretty decent. But let's get into the nitty gritty. Show up 20-25 minutes early. I was running low on balls and tees, figured I'd pick some up from the club house. My partner forgot his clubs at his parents many hours away. The pro shop attendant was busy, which I can understand. However the pro shop was super small, paid 30 dollars for a pack of balls because they had no second hand balls, they had 0 tees in stock, and didn't rent any clubs. To top it off this is a course with 3 separate 9 hole courses labeled in colors very similar to the ones at the tee box and we received 0 directions on where we were supposed to start. So we get our outdated cart that didn't even have a place to store balls, unless it was under the steering column? Anyway drive around for a bit attempting to find where we are supposed to start before I finally ask another golfer, make it to the first tee, still 10 minutes before our tee time, wait another 40 minutes before we finally tee off. It took 5.5/6 hours for us to play and he didn't play 11 of them. The carts were old, the pro shop was under stocked and the course seemed all over. There was no beer cart, no options for food, and even if there was we felt like were taking so long that we couldn't have stopped without taking even longer. For the price, highly recommend Rum River and the Refuge, far better experiences. Maybe it was a fluke, but it didn't seem so. The only thing that seemed to save it was the couple holes that had some beautiful views. To be clear, the only reason this course is receiving 2 stars is because I was shocked how few leafs were on the course and how the actual greens felt while we were putting.

Ok conditions for an early fall day.Very few leaves on the course. The tee boxes were mostly level but sandy and hard packed.Very challenging with the traps and water to avoid. I made reservations for two groups a month in advance and was told the price would be $37.50 each. The day came it went to $60.00?- I got some "Word Salad " about being a weekend which was apparently my problem he couldn't read a calendar! The bar was packed with loud and obnoxious fat guys and the patio had the music playing loudly but was fine.Good beer selection and friendly bartender woman helped the experience.

Went here (mid-August) with my wife and son for 18 holes. Nice clubhouse (sketchy restaurant) and pleasant staff. Fairways are very fair and often broad with easy landing spots. Greens in very good condition. Name should be "marshes" as no ponds were sighted! (Maybe one, two? Maybe "wetlands")

From an original review November 2020The (blond) woman in the pro-shop that so many have complained about knows nothing about managing a pro-shop or a tee-sheet. Indeed she is rude, clueless, and should NOT be allowed anywhere near the pro-shop. What a Gawd Awful excuse for golf course management. But alas, she is special, that's why she usually parks her vehicle in the "No Parking Fire Lane" all day long. Before the "Handicapped Parking" was moved she would often park there all day long. It's true, people who do this are "special".What good is it to hold a season pass if every time you call she tells you that the course is "double-booked" or "triple-booked". (Even when it's NOT). Who the hell "triple-books" their tee-times? (an idiot?) It could be said that this "ditz" = lost revenue. What kind of management tells people they have NO tee-times and you can't get on the course when there are virtually nothing but 2-somes and 3-somes going off the first tee for over 2 hours. (That is Lost revenue any day) Worst case scenario = 20+ lost green fees in just over 2 hours on a weekday. This must be a Covid related, government funded employment situation. Either that or she has some real "dirt" on somebody. At least 15 to 20 times over the summer we have called to book tee-times and are told there is nothing available 2+ hours either side of our requested time. 10 or 15 mins later another member of the group calls for the same tee-time and gets a time within 10 or 15 minutes either side of the time requested. On several occasions, the exact time initially asked for. WTF!!!! How can that be? The DIFFERENCE is the 2nd caller doesn't get the blond ditz on the phone and talks to somebody who knows WTH they're doing.Bottom Line: "Might be a good place to start a golf course" In all likelihood this is the kind of management that sent this course into bankruptcy in the past. One has to wonder if it could happen again. Of course since Covid-19 even the worst managed golf courses are making money.I feel sorry for the young people working the pro-shop who seem to know far more about customer service and managing a pro-shop and a tee-sheet than the blond ditz who can't stop telling them she's the BOSS. (a real doozy at that)

Played here yesterday [Sunday 19 July 2020], and as I was excited about getting out to play with friends, it immediately went downhill the minute we stepped up to the counter. I booked tee-times for 3 on GolfNow, walking 9 holes no carts was the only option, $15! OK, so when we showed up we had our own bag-caddies, but we were told that we had to take a golf cart, carts are required on the weekends... and were charged $15 each for the cart, so $30 to play 9 holes. Had I been alone I would have left, but the guys I was with wanted to play. I think if The Ponds or ANY other course is going to REQUIRE a cart THEN charge me for that cart, then you must put that in the advertisement so that I can make an informed decision BEFORE I COME TO PLAY and have your requirement dropped on me, and then the cart cost the same price as the round is just a hustle, again, tell me up front, I would have went someplace else. Then, not one tee-box was horribly maintained, if maintained is a word that can be used for what we saw yesterday, saw plenty of sand and dirt and not much grass and a couple were soggy, so instead of teeing up close to the front on a few holes we had to move back up to 10 feet... but you want to charge me $15 for a required golf cart. That was my second and last time playing there.

Never has any carts. Golfers have to wait 1 hour past their tee time to play. No communication from mgmt. This will be my last time. Play elsewhere!

The Ponds is one of the best places for the money in the metro area. 27 holes of golf, ample carts, people are friendly. Golf courses are a good challenge, but not overly difficult. Well kept and maintained. Have never had a problem with teeing off on time. We really enjoy The Ponds!
