Was excited to try this place, when we walked in at 5pm on a Saturday there was 1 older couple there. Unfortunately the food did not hold up to expectations. Food was pretty bland 0 too little flavor. Service was exceptional. I think only thing good was the margarita and my girlfriend's company. Stick to the basics and go to maz

Walked in, was deathly quiet because no music was playing, so you could hear everyone's conversations and mouth-eating noises. Nobody brought us water, but they brought 3 baskets of chips, which were stale. The server came to take our order, we were confused if she meant for drinks because we were still sitting there with nothing to drink. She said whatever. So we ordered everything. The food came fast, but everyone's beans were like soup. liquid soup. I ordered the Colorado Burrito with shredded beef, but it was what looked like an enchilada instead because it was wet. It was chunks of what looked like steak, not shredded. There were 5 of us and nobody was too thrilled about their food or the awkward silence we were all sitting in. Server never asked anyone if they needed a drink refill.

Delicious !!! Delicious !!! Delicious !!!Can't remember the name of the (huge) burrito but ithad chicken, beef and schrimp. Probably one of the best burrito I've ever had !!!Very nice waiter !Liked the character of the restaurant.

We had a rough experience when it first opened, but now the service and food are quick and delicious. Only one size of margaritas but many flavors and all delicious. Their fajitas pueblo viejo is my favorite and has chicken, steak, chorizo, and shrimp. Wife enjoys the chimichangas or flautas. And its usually not very busy, nor expensive, which is nice for a change.

Food was awesome and we are a picky family!!! Kids menu portions were perfect!! And the camarones Al mojo de ahi and camarones ala diabla were both awesome

On our way back to Spirit Lake, IA from a Twins game on Memorial Day, we stopped in North Mankato for dinner at Plaza Jalisco. The exterior was clean, but modest. The interior was very nice, spacious and inviting. My brother and grandsons ordered typical burrito plates, which they enjoyed, but said were average in their appeal. However, I ordered the Molcajete special. This was a chicken, beef and shrimp soup, with onion and peppers, in a Mexican spice infused broth that was amongst the BEST Mexican food I've ever tasted. It was served in a traditional molcajete urn that had been heated to cook the contents. It was served with beans, rice and salad. It was Outstanding ! We will be back ! My only recommendation for others is that I would suggest the more "exotic" offerings on the menu as the impression I got is the kitchen focuses its energies on them. Also, the prices were also reasonable, especially for what you get !

Was not thrilled, music was too loud and an inappropriate song played while we where there. The employees were having a loud personal conversation at the bar area as well which was annoying. It was not busy when we got there. Food did come fast but was flavorless. Our waitress did check on us several times thru our meal. Will not be going back with better options in the area to go.

Very good food and a nice clean atmosphere the staff was very helpful in explaining some menu questions and recommendations were helpful. The food was hot and didn't take long to get on a Friday evening. Our server checked on us often and coffee refills were prompt and hot. The restrooms were very clean and well stocked. We were very pleased and left definitely full. The Music was nice but not to loud to visit We will be coming back
