We are now JC Penney photo fans! Our shoot was easy to schedule and our photographer was ready for us when we arrived. I forget her name, but I remember that she's from Poland. She was super helpful and knowledgeable about photography. She made photo suggestions and offered help with our poses. She even posed my tiny Yorkie and made sure he looked picture perfect as well! The lighting that she set up was perfect. JC Penney uses some kind of automatic editing software for the photos and it's GREAT! No long wait times to see your fully edited photos. The whole process was painless. I wish they had a few more holiday backgrounds because there was only one available. We received Christmas cards from couples with the exact same holiday background. Lol. Christmas is the busiest season of the year so it's nice to have more than one background for an option. We love JCPenney photography. We'll be back for more photos soon!

I called and asked if they do passport photos for my travel document. They said yes and told me to come in anytime. I make my 10 minute drive and wait for 20 minutes to find out that their printer is broken!! Oh thanks a lot for telling me that when I called! If anyone needs a passport photo taken, go to walgreens. It's $7.99 or 2 and they get it done in about 5 minutes. (jcp charges 14.99 for 2)

All my friends said to go to JCP Photo. They said it was easy and the photos were cheap. So here are some things I learned after I have now had pictures taken of my kids 2x. 1) The photographers are a little more than amateurs. They can work with kids well enough though 2) They are not creative. They have 1000 props and yet I have to suggest something each time or pull something off the shelf 3) It always feels rushed, busy and chaotic at the Ridgedale location 4) If you have a coupon, you need to purchase your photos right then and there. So here are some lessons learned: A) book your appointment on a weekday, B) Know what you want in advance and tell them C) Bring another adult who can take your kids for a treat or to the play area in the mall after they are done D) Make a list of how many photos of each size you ideally want. E) For the price you still can't beat it and I somehow end up parting with my money as my kids whether smiling or not somehow look adorable to me. I love all the collages you can make as well as traditional 5x7s or 8x10s. The membership is a pretty good deal too if you have more than 1 child and get your photos done there more than once.

Very friendly and helpful. I didn't have an appointment and they did a great job accomodating for me. The pictures turned out nicely. They have a lot of people that come to that location, so I did feel a bit rushed through the shoot to get my son to smile (they didn't make me feel rushed, I just saw the large crowd waiting and felt like I needed to make every second count). They showed me the options of packages I could purchase, and I did not feel pressured to buy a certain quota.
