I was Downtown to get some legal documents, and decided to take a stroll through Rice Park. As it was lunch time and there were a few food trucks around I thought why not. I looked at the menus trying to decide, but this truck had a consistent line. That sold it for me. I am so happy I went for it. I tried the Steak Philly, when I opened it up in was worried it wouldn't have enough cheese. I was so wrong. This sandwich was delicious. Cheese in every bite the perfect amount of bread. Oh the topping wow they nailed the amount of onions and peppers. Just enough to enhance the flavor without hiding that savory meat. This thing is a monster. I ate less than half and saved the rest for dinner. It was still great cold. The bread was intact. Yummmmm. They guys on the truck were great to friendly and fast. I highly recommend you seek them out my sandwich was 8.50

I've tried a few of the food trucks that actually will park down by 2nd and Marquette (not a high traffic area for food trucks) and have been disappointed over and over again. I though I would give getting lunch from a food truck one more try . . . and what a try it was!I ordered the Veggie sandwich as I was planning on having a big dinner out with friends, so I didn't want to get something big for lunch . . . all I can say is WOW!The sandwich was crammed full of all kinds of veggies - grilled but still had texture, the bun was perfectly toasted and the pepper jack cheese lived up to its name. I also didn't realize how BIG this sandwich would be . . . and all for just $7.00!!! (I've posted a picture of the sandwich)I did take some of the spicy ranch dressing just in case - you know - when the sandwich doesn't taste like really anything, so you have to use some kind of sauce. Well, I tasted the sauce - it was great, then I tasted the sandwich and realized that it didn't need the sauce . . . it was flavorful just as it was . . . I brought the sauce home.Yes, I ate the entire sandwich, no, I will not be having a big dinner tonight (probably just order a salad . . . mmmm . . . I'll bring the sauce I brought home with me to put over that salad!), yes, next time I'm ordering the steak sandwich . . . and there will be a next time!

I tried them at the food truck fair in uptown Minneapolis today it was so good it came with all the toppings I like. The only thing I didn't like was the bread got soggy by the time I ate 80% of the sandwich it was good bread just be sure to eat it when it's still fresh.

PepperJax was at Bent Brewstillery last night. I had the philly beef, the Mrs. had the Philly chicken. Tasted good, and portion wise, good amount of food for the money (in fact, one of the best trucks I've purchased food from in regards to portion size for the money). The wife is not big on breads, next time she wants everything except the bun on top of her Fries. BTW, good fries. We'll definitely be on the lookout for PepperJax on our next brewery tour.

the best meal on wheels. Me and my coworkers hit this place up so often that it's beginning to be our own "Cheers" show. As far as food trucks go, this is hands down the best value in town, coming in around $9 for a sandwich that honestly could be two meals.. though it never survives one sitting once I get my hands on it. Friendly service, always serving with a smile. Great job guys.Ask them what a tanker is. You won't be disappointed haha

Wow. I've seen this truck parked out on 6th and Marquette, but always walked by. Today it must have been upwind because the smell immediately made me need a Philly. It's an honest-to-goodness authentic East Coast style steak & cheese, with peppers, onions, jalapenos, and other yumminess. The bun was toasted perfectly, and the meat was not overdone. I topped it with some of their spicy ranch dressing, which was also top-notch. (One caveat, a co-worker got their Chicken Philly, and was not very impressed. He said the chicken tasted okay, but it had some weird consistency he wasn't expecting. )As the weather gets warmer here in Minneapolis, I'll definitely be making this place a regular stop on my lunchtime rotation.

Had the cheese steak sandwich at tonight's event at Mears Park in St Paul. Without a doubt one of the best I have ever had anywhere. AWESOME sandwich! Wasn't expecting a sandwich from a food truck to be better than nearly every one I've ever had in a brick and mortar restaurant.

First off, they are not making philly sandwiches. They are making really good sandwiches, but they are not authentic philly's. With that said, this food truck dishes up some huge sandwiches for a really good price ($8-$10 prior to sides - fries and drink). You are definitely not going to be hungry if you eat the whole thing, you will be fighting a food coma at your desk afterword's. If you are feeling brave, get the gunner and fries. I promise you will not be eating the rest of the day. Great food truck and nice people who run it.
