I tried this food truck for the first time today in St. Paul and got the BLT.Food: You can tell they truly use quality ingredients and whatever the peep sauce is really added something to a dish that otherwise holds no surprises. The bacon was thick but crispy and the tomatoes fresh and juice, the bread was also fantastic! Also I saw someone getting the wontons and they looked amazing. Service: they were really friendly and fast, probably some of the best service ive had at a food truckPrice: food trucks are always a bit pricey but $12 for a BLT with no sides seems a bit too much to me. Honestly while the food was great I don't think I'll be getting anything here in the future until the price matches what you get. I mean for 12$ they could at the very least include some chips! Honestly the only reason I took off a star.

We booked Peep's hot box for our wedding in November. After our first caterer cancelled on us we decided to go a different route and we couldn't have been more thrilled with our choice. Jessi created a special menu just for our event and all of the food turned out amazing. From the cream cheese wontons to the sake braised short ribs I don't know that I have had better food at a wedding. We had a few family members with some allergies and Jessi did a wonderful job accommodating all of them. One of those family members commented that they finally felt like they had something to eat at a wedding and didn't just have to pick at sides for their meal. We also really appreciated the thought she put into choosing locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. We can't thank Jessi and her team enough for the amazing work that they did and would recommend them to anyone for an event like that.

Best banh mi I've ever had in the twin cities. Full of the good stuff, pork was juicy, tangy carrot and radish slaw. Bread was perfect - fresh, crisp on the outside, soft inside. I've been trying to hunt down this food truck again ever since, but it's not easy to find

I'll totally throw out the first review for Peeps Hotbox and it's a great one. First off, the level of friendliness that they have is superb. They also have examples of their food out on their shelf if you're curious what it is you're actually getting. Solid. The food. I've only at the Pork Chop Sandwich. It's a super great, ridiculously good twist on a banh mi sandwich with super thinly sliced pork chop, pickled veggies, cilantro, jalapeno, and some nice tasting sauce on a CRAZY soft and perfect french baguette thingy...like really soft on the inside and a nice crisp on the outside. Well done. The other food looks great, but I haven't had the opportunity to explore them...more to come. Overall, it's a great quick choice.

Ok...so really the five stars is all about their cream cheese wontons. Sooo worth it. Tons of cheese. Wonton wrapper that's not too thick. It's never broken (yay!). Beware the cheese is SUPER hot when you get the order, so I'd recommend letting it cool off first. Their thai chili sauce is a perfect sauce for the wontons.Their bahn mi is good, but (IMO) not really worth the price. Great in a pinch when you're hungry. I'll have to try their other sandwiches (the ones the usually sell out of really fast...so good they sell out right?).TLDR: get the cream cheese wontons!

I have never been so disappointed in a food truck. Tonight our family was cussed at for asking how much longer for our food, for already waiting between 45 min to an hour. I never make reviews as I work in customer service, but for someone to say the F word 3 to 4 times, call us idiots and throw food at us telling us to get out of there is in called for. I understand and know it was busy, but the service that was provided was like nothing I have experienced and I am thr one who gets yelled at by customers. I did not try this food as I was very upset but the others said it was good. Just sad to see an owner treat people this way. She said you try to F-ing do this, well if you cant handle it then dont.

If I were to see this truck lined up with others, I'll admit I may just walk by as both the look of the truck and the menu didn't particularly grab me. Then I realized that they are doing it right. No crazy over the top truck, no extensive menu coming out of a shoe box. They have just a couple things on the menu and they are all GREAT. Remember when food trucks did that? Peeps was parked outside of Tattersall on a Friday night and I grabbed the banh mi and the huaraches. Oh my damn. The banh mi was simple as it should be yet full of flavor with great bread. The huarache...though difficult to eat...was my favorite. Perfect amount of sear on the chicken, light but filling. Wouldn't hesitate to get the same stuff again.
