Pancho Villa Mexican Restaurant

I forgot to take pictures of the food! Next time! The food is different than the typical Mexican restaurants that I have been but it is very good. The servings are very large I had a fajita burrito and my wife had a chili relleno. I think we had a bit of a language barrier with the waitress and I found the menu a little difficult to understand but that won't stop us from going back. My wife thought the Mexican food was better than any place she has been so far. I thought it was above average for Minnesota and actually better than the last two Mexican meals I had in California.

We have passed by this place many times, but had never stopped. The patio was very inviting on the first nice day of the year, so we decided to give it a try! We were seated immediately, I ordered the 2-4-1 margaritas and my daughter ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri (it was huge)! Our food order was quickly served & hot. The chicken / chorizo combo was fantastic with a good portion of rice. My daughter enjoyed her chicken & rice kids meal with French fries. Good service and food, we will be back! They have a special for your birthday where you can drink all you want for free, as long as you bring 6 friends. My daughter thought that was pretty cool. Haha!

The reviews made me leary. But I was SO SURPRISED!! Came in at 7pm on a Friday night. There was a decent crowd but no wait. We were seated immediately. The building is older but its clean. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Our server, Rodrigo was so kind and had such great attitude. He was one of the best I've had. He genuinely made our time enjoyable. The food!! It's was way better than I expected. I'm from Chicago and there is a taqueria every two blocks. I feel I've got a good gage when it comes to Mexican cuisine. This place nailed it. I ordered the special, quesabirria. Flavorful with lean meat and cheese, fried in hand pressed corn tortillas--you dip in the consumme. I wanted to make sure they knew how good this was so they can keep making it! Also, we had steak tacos in corn tortillas. The meat was good, the cilantro fresh. The Michelada with modelo hit the spot with its salty, tomato goodness. Never heard of it? It's like the version of a Mexican bloody (made with beer obviously). So yum!!It was a great place and we will be back!!

the food was ok. What got me was the waitress NEVER returning after delivering my food. Myself and a friend who were meeting to visit had BOTH our glasses at the end of the table waiting for a refill. This is a clear sign that refills are anticipated. Not even 5 minutes after getting our food did the bill appear. NOT going there again.

Very clean restaurant and bathrooms. The food was good and beer was cold. Very authentic feel to it.

This place is the the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. The AC would not cool off anyone or anything. I hated my entire experience start to finish. Do not, under any circumstance, think that you will enjoy this place.

Awesome food! Great guacamole and great lunch special. I paid the extra $2 for shrimp version of each. This is way better than the Taco Bell down the street! The chips are divine, light and crispy. The taco and enchiladas are delicious and the portions are generous. Love this place

We order online. The website did not say that it does not work or broke. They took our money. I pick up the order they said first you may be order to different restaurant, nope we order online. He said the money will be refund it in a couple of days we,will see. We will never come or order from this place. First taste is bad not organized

Good food I like me me big chonck this was made by a gen z kid btw great food 10/10 perfecto does take a little while but JUst now ate fresh chips my god is this food peek of hu man monkey Evolution plus Qauc is good in my stomach drinks taste good not watered down LIKE THE KFC DOWN THE ROAD any way everthing is fresh af an you yes YOOOU should come eat this food :)

This has been our go to Mexican restaurant, however things have changed. Food is still good however let me ask how many Mexican restaurants have you been to that charge for chips and salsa? They used to provide your first basket of chips and salsa at no cost, now you are charged for it! Also check your your bill carefully as I found a "value added fee" on the bill. When I asked the waiter he couldn't explain it and then came up with the reason being that "it is the computer system." I had them remove that charged which was about equal to 10% of the total bill. Seemed a little odd to me and I would understand if it was listed as a gratuity but when no one could explain it to me it seemed like they were just adding a fee to collect more. As for physically distancing in the restaurant, I would say they are not following the current COVID guidelines as every booth and table were being used. We have been to other restaurants where it was every other booth. Staff did have masks on but a couple did not have their noses covered. Unfortunately do to these issues, we most likely will not be back.
