Padua Pub

Small town family pub. Service was great and friendly. Double cheeseburger with crinkle fries was on point. The food was hot. Ambiance is perfect for the family. Tables large enough for 6-8. The specials come with a dessert bar with ice cream and brownies.

Old school local awesomeness. Some of the most welcoming staff I've ever encountered at a restaurant. Decent bar food, inexpensive, and a relaxing vibe capped off by some free cake. No wonder this place has been open and under same ownership since 1979.

This was quite literally, one of the best burgers I've ever had. Everything was obviously fresh and local, the service was very good. It's bigger inside than it looks on the outside so if you're in the area and have a large group, I'm sure they could accommodate you, just be patient. I don't think they get many outside visitors, but my mom and I were doing some family research a few miles away and we were looking for a place to have lunch. We stopped into a family bakery in Brooten and the young lady there told us that Padua Pub had really good food so we drove over for lunch. It's a family run place, grandma and grandpa were doing all the food prep and cooking and their two grandsons were taking orders, cleaning up, etc. Our server was young Ryely (sorry I'm not sure how to spell it). We were very impressed by him. He was very polite, he answered our questions (and asked when he wasn't sure), and he checked on us to see if everything was ok and if we needed anything. Our food was very good and very reasonably priced. We both got the California burger (no avocado here though) which was a basic burger with very good quality meat, a fresh bun, and fresh lettuce, tomato and pickles. We actually considered driving all the way back here a couple days later, it was that good (and we were almost 2 hours away). I thought I took a picture of my food, but I only found pics of part of the interior in my gallery so you'll have to go and see for yourself. I can pretty much guarantee that you won't be disappointed.

The Pub is an icon. Whether you are going for one of their huge monthly dinners ( Gemutlecheit, Smoked Pork chops, St. Patrick's Day, Syttenda Mai) or daily dinner--this place draws a repeat crowd from their great food!

I must confess, I've only been there twice, once for Ocktoberfest, the other was tonight. (Valentine's Day) Both nights the place was packed! Yet, these wonderful owners, employees, were able to put out outstanding food, sinful desserts, outstanding customer service, all when they are making you feel very welcome! With very little wait time!!I can't wait to go back and experience this lovely gem in Stearns County! I'm anxiously awaiting my first Padua Pub burger! The regulars say it's to die for! What I can tell you is to die for is their fried chicken, shrimp and ribs! You can't go wrong! Oh, and the bread pudding. So delicious it has to be sinful!

Wow!! Daily special was amazing. Home cooking deliciousness. Highly recommend. Even brought out 2 cookies with our check. Will be back!

The Pub always has great food! This family owned and operated bar and grill has excellent burgers and steaks and chicken! Dave and Clara and their whole family (children and grandchildren too) always take great care of their customers. Highly recommend!!
