Decided to try it cause of the positive reviews but I have to be honest, I don't know why this place is rated so highly at all.Service was fine, went on a sunday afternoon so it was slow there, was a bit surprised seeing our server making our sushi tho. Prices are a bit pricey for how little you actually get, kind of surprised even their hibachi or non fish entrees were a bit pricey too. I got some rolls but i have to say I wasn't amazed. The tuna in some of the rolls was grey in color rather than red or pinkish, it didn't smell or taste off so I am hoping it was just oxidized and not spoiled. If I get food poisoning I will come back and update my review. George the croc gives it a single chomp out of 3 chomps. :/

Stopped in on a slow Thursday night. Excellent night for Omakase and it was wonderful. Lovely sashimi appetizer with pesto sauce. The salmon belly nigiri melted in the mouth. The scallops were divine. Everything was excellent.My husband had his usual assortment of rolls but kept taking bites of my Omakase. For dessert (our Anniversary) there was green tea tiramisu and green tea mochi. Very, very good.Always great service and food here.

The sushi at ooka is amazing!! My friends and I ordered the California roll, Alaskan roll, shrimp tempura roll, spicy tuna roll and veggie fried rice. Their regular rolls are mostly under $10, and their signature rolls are around $16. Customer service was good, but it did take a while for the food to be prepped. The ambiance in the restaurant is nice - it's lively and good for family and friends. Parking is convenient. Overall rating: 9/10

This is my favorite Sushi restaurant south of the river. They have the consistently tasting best salmon and tuna shashimi. It's fresh, generously sliced, and fairly priced.My husband and I come for dinner whenever we can get a sitter and have also had good luck bringing our kids here. The Manager has been our server at least 50% of the time and she's great!

I don't eat raw fish but I do enjoy California rolls, and imitation crab. I got a California roll and it was mediocre, I also tried the spicy snow crab roll and that was my favorite. I'm happy I came here and tried something out of my comfort zone. Our waitress was very attentive. We tried the lemonades and they were all good, but not great. Spring rolls were good, but I don't like mushrooms and there were some really big mushrooms inside. I would not recommend getting the ramen here, it looked good but wasn't.
