A great place for happy hour! 4-6pm daily and they offer half priced wine, $2 off beer, and $4 Tito's mules. I went on a Monday at 5pm and it was pretty open. Service was good! Friendly and prompt. I came here to study at the atmosphere is great for that! I had a corner booth and was able to relax and focus in. It's within the Hilton hotel so there's plenty of parking.

Located in the Hilton Hotel, the Olive Lounge is a very nice hotel bar with some amazing food. After arriving and getting settled in my room, I wanted a bite to eat so I headed downstairs to see what the it had to offer. The space, which located right off the first-floor lobby is very open with a modern feel to it. In addition to serving breakfast, lunch and dinner there are also late night snacks available. Since my first visit was early afternoon it was mostly empty so I sat at the bar. I was promptly welcomed by the bartender and offered a menu. I was surprised at all options available which included appetizers, salads, sandwiches along with a few entrée type dishes. I went with the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Seasoned Homemade Chips (the other choice was French Fries). I thoroughly enjoyed my selection; the sandwich was very flavorful and the chips had a very nice seasoning to them.Since this was the weekend of Celebration 2017 (this Hilton was a host hotel for the four day event) the Olive Lounge had a couple specialty cocktails available; Raspberry Beret (gin based) and Purple Rain (vodka based). As a self-proclaimed vodka connoisseur, I went with a Purple Rain and it did not disappoint. In all honesty, it was my beverage of choice the entire weekend on my many visits to Olive Lounge...that's just how tasty it was. The servers and bartenders all did an exceptional job throughout the entire weekend. In addition to being friendly they were attentive. This held true on all my visits including the times when the place was really crowded. The staff kept up with the demand and remained friendly. Lastly, as to be expected there are a couple of TVs located through the space which were airing sports and news. If you're staying at the Hilton I highly recommend a few stops at the Olive Lounge.

To even begin to explain how much we hated it here would be impossible. My dad got me a gift certificate here because he really likes the Olive's Lounge at the Hilton in Mankato where he lives. His lazy way of taking out for dinner, but we were excited and happy. The gift certificate for for $75 but perusing the menu ahead of time we knew that wouldn't last long so came for apps. And then we sat for awhile. We watched bartenders talk, managers walk about, and we stared at each other. Finally, a server came by and asked if what we wanted to drink. We had no menus and really no idea where we were and neighter of us really even wanted to be there at this point. I ask if we can cash out gift cards. She says no. I say, that we would like a menu. We order some beers and look through the menu, which the server tells us is, "In the middle." I order the steak, and when it arrives, it so tough that the entire table shakes as I try to cut it. I don't know if this is a furniture thing or a steak thing, but I should not have to work out to cut a $25 dollar piece of meat. In all, food bad, ambiance bad, service bad. Will make efforts to never go back. Also, no one said a word to us when we were leaving $150 later. (We kept trying with different items, no go).

Came here for a business trip. On the first night it was snowing outside so we opted for the Restaurant in the Hilton Hotel. Pleasantly surprised. In the front is the lounge, and further back is the restaurant. The service was friendly in both areas, the drinks spot on and they left us alone to chat after we were done. Came back for breakfast, my oatmeal was made just perfect by topping it with a side of fresh blueberries. Not every restaurant gets this right and serve second rate fruit. Wound up back here for lunch on my third day. I had the Vegan Ribs and they were out-of-this-world good! Thank you Olive Lounge for a very welcoming experience!

I visited the Olive Lounge the same weekend as many out of town visitors were at the hotel to commemorate the anniversary of Prince's death. You would think the bar would really try to put its best foot forward. I had the worst pizza I've ever had in my life, for $14 it had canned tomato paste, pieces of chorizo sausage so small I could barely see them, and other small pieces of vegetables that looked like scraps. I called to talk to someone about it two days later, a day manager talked to me but offered no compensation, said she would have the general manager call me, but he/she never did. The service was good.
