A fun gem for a quick dinner when we into town for the evening. Cozy dining area with an open front to let in the beautiful evening air. The service was cheerful and helpful offering tastes and giving suggestions. The lemonade was incredible. I highly recommend adding bourbon. The chip dip was a little bland. Very sour cream forward. The margarita pizza and spinach artichoke pizzas were both very similar, mostly cheese with little other flavor. The Hawaiian was standout. Great Smokey flavor with wonderful sweet and tangy bbq.

They've got beer. They've got cocktails. They've got food. Oh, and the staff is always super friendly. What more could you possibly ask for?I have visited Oldenburg a number of times. The storefront space is somewhat dark but welcoming and comfortable. There is a huge rectangle bar in the back and a beautiful mural behind it. The beer is.... Honestly, just ok. While it is all drinkable, it doesn't stand out.The cocktails are where it's at. I absolutely love their Chatfield spirits! I have yet to have a cocktail I haven't enjoyed and honestly recommend you try them all. The food is, like the beer, just okay. However, I enjoy that they offer it and it is always there unlike an unreliable food truck. My last visit I ordered a pretzel. It tasted like a Costco frozen pretzel (which is fine, I wasn't expecting much and it was cheap), but it was covered in peanut butter and jelly! I LOVED THIS. I loved the creativity and it was one hell of a way to dress up an otherwise underwhelming product. So, kudos on that one! Overall, it's a solid spot. Take it for what it is and just enjoy it. This would easily be a 4 or 5 star if the beer was just a bit more memorable and/or the food was a touch better.

I wanted to Rank this higher but.... Drinks and beer menu is great , service is solid, atmosphere is also great, but the food was not impressive especially for the price. We had the Chicken Tacos and the Beef Chief nachos. Nothing stood out as far as flavor. The only thing that came to mind is boring, overpriced, and non original and tastes like grocery store food. This is a great place to hang out for great drinks with a cool atmosphere but the food is overpriced and lacking flavor and originality.

Inaugural visit yesterday. Stopped in a little after open, so I had a chance to chat up beertenders Theresa & Anthony about the tap list! Too Young To Drink Anthony wasn't able to provide a favorite, but was helpful with his "I sell a lot of this beer" and highly recommended the Margherita pizza; I did not eat on this visit...but noted for a future visit! About noon the place started to fill up, assumed just a normal Saturday, I didn't ask, but the parade was happening outside, so the new folks provided good conversation, thanks Belle Plainees?..ha. I was there for shift change{?) so I met Kincaid, Jodi & Amanda, all were friendly as well! Theresa was helpful building my flight as she provided comments on her and customer favorites...and the most important piece.... people mix PB Honey Sammich & the Raspberry. Say no more, I'm all in. So once I had my flight...I moved those two to last. The raspberry wasn't good...it was....slap the bar whilst saying "YASS!!" delicious!! Of the six beers tried, I found my winner!!! Anthony was ever so kind, I had mentioned @ some point that I put brewery stickers on my truck & later I noticed a sticker in front of me!! When I asked if it was for me? He said "you said you put them on your truck right?" Awww, so thoughtful & attentive. What really started off the whole experience was the seating! The stools @ the bar are comfortable & not too high, like most. So it wasn't an ordeal to get up on the seat, THANK YOU Oldenburg!! I want to thank the friendly and knowledgeable Teresa and Anthony for providing such a delightful and insightful inaugural visit, I look forward to you slanging me more delicious beers in the future, cheers!!

I don't even know where to begin! This Brew Pub is so much more than just a Brewery. They are a family owned business of Oldenburg Brewing and Chatfield Spirits. They brew their beer at the facility in Belle Plain. When a new brewery comes along I usually am not blown away day one but, me and my friends were super impressed. I grabbed the Coffee Cream Ale, and boy did they nail this beer. It was a coffee forward beer with hints of vanilla and the creamy mouth feel was just was so perfect! I also enjoyed the Irish Red Ale they had on tap! You can order from their menu which is full of flat breads, tacos, and a huge soft pretzel. Not into beer and cocktails? They also make their own root beer and cream soda! Chatfield Spirits is all distilled in the Minnetonka area. They currently have their bourbon, vodka, and old fashioned cocktail bottled and for sale at their brew pub. Luckily, they will be releasing more spirits and pre-mixed cocktails in the upcoming months. I had to try the Smoked Old Fashioned and it was pretty good! When you order an old fashioned they used wood to fill the glass with smoke. You can choose your wood choice which was neat. I ended up choosing the red oak but, you can also choose from maple wood, cherry, alder, red oak, and red cedar.Honestly I was really impressed with all they have going on here! The owners are a father (Don) and son duo (Colt), and are extremely knowledgeable about what they are doing. It was great to speak with them both and learn not only about the beer and spirits but, the history of their family and why they started getting into brewing and distilling. I am looking forward to going back and trying more of everything.

Walked in and was greeted immediately. Austin offered to pour samples after learning my beer profile and also made recommendations based on what I told him...I went with the harvest honey brown ale. Delightful beer--no one flavor overpowered the other. Clean and smooth finish.I also had a pint of a guest tap--a sour key lime. Also delicious and tart--but not obnoxious to the point it was undrinkable. All pints are $5.00. Affordable, tasty, and comfortable surroundings. Check this place out if you get the chance!Wish I had checked it out sooner.

Drove all the way here because we wanted to give it a try. Sadly, even though posted hours said they were open they were not. Seems weird on a Saturday but yes, doors locked when we arrived. Yelp even indicated open. We ended up at another brewery and it must have been a sign. Packed place with great beer and live music. This was a miss for Oldenburg. I would definitely call ahead to make sure they are open before making the journey.
