Ate there couple times, no other choice in town. Place ain't bad needs some updating , bar food is just the bar food. Personally not a fan of the price for the portions.

Visit Maiden Shade campground for disc golf activity. After that, stop by this restaurant for a nice lunch. It is an old town servicing nice lunch here. Check it out. I got a caesar chicken wrap and tots. That were good, but not that wow! It is simple and easy.

Ahh fate brings me to the oldest of the old tavern. Here like the vikings of old I feast on merriment and ale whilst besting the great beasts that have been slaim to substain me chiseled body gifted from the gods. The wenches keep the spirts flowing to keep my men's spirts higher than the mighty kings of ages past. Bravo sirs and lady's bravo indeed! I'll feast many a times after my hard fought battles!

Drinks are $2.00 more than all the other bars in town, Archie's is much better. The food is 2 stars at best, with the exception of the pizza, pizza was good. Tater tots were to salty to eat, my burger was well done to say the least and onion rings again well over cooked. Small town $6.00 for a cocktail is to much, everyone else are $4.00 for a good call drink. Workers are pretty rude for the most part, a couple friendly waitresses.

The family and I gather here about once a month for Wednesday Burger Night. Good burgers, old town atmosphere with historic pictures of the town on the walls. Steph is usually our server-- she's always on the ball!!! It's an "Old Town Tavern"- complete with all the locals

We camp seasonal nearby and come here occasionally. We have recently be ordering takeout and have been very pleased. We have had several appetizers that were hot and crispy even given a short drive home. We have recently had their pizza which is very good as well. Had the Philly sandwich recently and was good as well. We have always had great service and not been given the cold shoulder as is common in small towns when you aren't a local. Worth a try!

Giving it a 2 cuz the service was good. The food was one star. First the appetizers: cheese curds tasted like they were processed, frozen, shipped across country,and dumped in the fryer. Yuck. Entrees: My BF ordered the "Moburger" the mushrooms were NOT sauteed, they were straight out of a can. I ordered the special "roasted New York Strip steak." It was....odd. It was cooked like a prime rib, but tasted .... Well, not like a steak. The consistency was just weird. The au jus was tasty tho. I ordered the augratin potatoes as my side. I am sure they came straight out a box. Rather blah. I wish I remembered our server's name, she was good! On the bill, she is #11...!

Why a one star indeed! Well, for a bar food place that tries this hard, I would have given it a 3 1/2 stars. The menu was larger than most small town taverns. They had a game room too. And the customers in the place were all friendly and courteous. Definitely welcoming for a trail biker like me.So what's the problem? Well, a snippy impatient waitress for one. She just was in a hurry to get through the customer's questions even though it was a slow time of day for the tavern. Chop chop man. As annoying as this was, she did try to amend her ways later. I give her some credit there.The most annoying thing though was that the atmosphere of the place was spoiled by the ever present tv broadcasting cable news - I could not even pee without the talking heads blathering on. I come to a restaurant to relax. Cable news is bad for your sanity and peace. Come together folks. So, I don't know if this is their 'normal' - but until I know that it isn't, Old Town Tavern is dead to me.
