Let's discuss reviews. You know when someone rates the book Dracula, for example, "1 star awful" because the book was "too creepy" -this is a person who should not be rating books. "Read the room" as they say. The same applies to restaurants. Yes Obbs was like walking into any restaurant from my in-laws small town in WI. Lots of wood, lots of senior citizen-ish aged people. That may be a 1 star review for some being from the hip Twin Cities, but we take it for what it IS. And that is...a homey atmosphere where the staff is so nice to everyone and the food is great! The food choices are immense and our table of 5 all agreed that it was top notch. We will be back for sure-maybe we'll become regulars!

This is our go-to local bar for a cold beer, good bar food, and playing pull tabs. Stopped in here on New Year's day and had a delightful dinner. Hubby had the hot dago with french fries and I had the pan-fried walleye with au gratin potatoes and a side salad. Both dishes were hot and very tasty. All the servers and bartenders at Obb's are pleasant and very good at their job. Highly recommend!

This is a good bar for watching the Timberwolves games! The service here is very dive bar equivalent. They have a variety of beers, drafts, wines, and cocktails available. Their food is very fun of the mill as well with burgers, appetizers, and daily specials. The place is usually busy during game nights so make sure to show up early to find a spot and know that service will be slightly slower due to the crowds. The bartenders due a good job and drinks are poured very standard. There is a full bar of seating as well as table seating available in the back. The place can be a bit noisy but overall is a good place to have a few drinks.

I stopped for lunch to say and was warmly greeted by staff and was seated. I had a 7 ounce steak open face sandwich, which was cook to my request!! This is a real neighborhood institution! The inside is well done and gives you a warm feeling!

Omg I have been here countless amount if times and I can honestly say the food here is outstanding. The service is superb and the atmosphere there is such a welcoming one. I know the manager and a few of the waitresses that have had longevity there, One being Trish, she is amazing. She is honestly my favorite because she knows my order right away because I get my usual Cuban sandwich and Dave gets a Manhattan on the rocks and she knows when she sees us before we order do you two want your usual. She even knows my mom gets the seasonal Leinenkugel's beer there and she asked her if she would like that too. So I can tell you this is an amazing place with countless number of tvs and the service there in honestly the best. I highly recommend this place. It is the place to go.

Kind of a hidden gem. I've been here twice, once in the summer and once in the winter. They have a nice patio that is great on summer afternoons. The inside has lots of seating and the bar is a busy place, full of nice people and great staff!Even if you come here at "lunch" or "dinner" time you'll have no problem finding a spot to park and probably no problem finding a spot to eat/drink.This last time I had the spinach and artichoke dip. It was good and definitely filled me up! I will definitely be back, we play softball in the area and it's a great spot to pre game!!

Great chili, sandwiches and service. Popcorn is a plus. Cozy neighborhood bar where Jim makes you feel at home.

A classic bar restaurant that has deep local roots and culture. Great food for better prices. Popcorn too. The steak bites are basically a New York steak cut in bigger than bite size pieces.

Obbs is a destination. It's a fun place with a neighborhood feel. Food is outstanding. Prices are within reason. I've been here many many times and have never been disappointed.If you want to have a great meal in a safe and friendly place, this is it. Try it. You'll love it.
