Breakfast, Yum!
Something sweet nightly
The upstairs hallway..elegant
On the mantel...little touches of textures, colors and metals.
Items on the wall are adorable and feel historic. This leather mirror was one of my favorites.
Welcoming fountain
All the bathrooms are beautiful but I especially like this double mirror!
The kitchen wear is clean and sturdy. Felt very welcoming.
Little details like this are all around the Inn. This is on a push door rather than a knob. Super cute.
Suite Four
Tea service
Freshly baked scones with apple butter and strawberry preserves
Amazing breakfast

I highly recommend this inn in Northfield! Innkeeper Sharon is warm, witty, and not intrusive. The room I stayed in was large, uberclean, the internet connection excellent, and clearly great forethought was spent on making my experience a fine one. Location is wonderful for folks visiting Northfield and associated colleges, the neighborhood is quiet. The breakfasts are FABULOUS. Normally, I grab something and dash, but the Inn and the breakfasts served gave me an opportunity to take my time, enjoy the food, and sip coffee before my day began.I truly had a wonderful experience, and would recommend this inn to anyone.

The staff were very friendly. The environment was clean, warm and charming. I loved that we had out own bathroom. Will smaller Inns that is hard to come by. We will 100% be going back here. It was easy to relax in this atmosphere. I was surprised by the size of the Inn. Looks small and cozy but is actually very spacious and easy to get around.

Just opened in February 2017, my wife and I stayed in the Northfield Inn in July for two nights. The Inn is located in a beautiful and quiet residential area just outside Carleton College. The sleeping rooms (we stayed in #3, which has a big bay window overlooking the gardens) was comfortable and cozy for two people. The bed and bedding was first rate--we both had restful nights. Because we were escaping a heat wave at home, we spent as much time as we could on the wraparound porch, wishing we had one at home. Andy, our host, was kind enough to serve his very nice breakfasts on the porch. It's clear that a vast amount of thought and care went into every detail, making for a wonderfully pleasant stay. We'll be back.

Hello fellow travelers:) I wanted to write this review while everything was fresh in my mind, after all I just turned 65 on 4/11/17 :) and spent my birthday and Wednesday and left Thursday Am after a fabulous breakfast of Buttermilk pancakes with a fresh strawberry & raspberry Maple syrup poured over the top of (3) big and beautiful pancakes. A breakfast fit for a Diva such as Me and well worth going off my low carb diet for:)This place is only been open (2) months and the owners Andy & Mike did not skimp on any finer quality details!!! Such as 1500 Egyptian Threaded sheets, Royal Velvet Towels, Down filled comforters and really comfortable beds:):):) I would highly recommend staying here for anytime you feel you want to be pampered and cared for like Kings & Queens!**Close to downtown shopping, eating , bakery, walking & hiking trails and beautiful safe neighborhoods:)

Superb accommodation! Impeccably clean room with a fresh, clean scent. The sheets are so soft and comfortable! So many times, I stay at places with uncomfortably stiff sheets. Location can't be beat either: very close to MPLS and the neighborhood is very walkable with plenty of sidewalks.

First time in a B&B and it was excellent. Andy is warm and helpful, taking his job as innkeeper seriously. He truly wants your experience to be perfect! Yummy breakfast, very nice wine and cheese the evening before with another lovely couple. Bed and linens were a treat- better than what we own. We felt pampered. Large room and our own bathroom. Certainly hoping to stay here again if our son chooses St. Olaf for college. Walk to Carlton, minutes to St Olaf and a 10% discount at the Ole Store (a quaint restaurant a short drive away) were an added plus.

The very best! This place is amazing. I'm very picky about where I stay and The Northfield Inn (and Innkeeper Sharon Jackson) never disappoint. We always stay here when we are in town to visit our son at Carleton College. It is impeccably clean, the beds are outrageously comfortable, and Sharon's breakfasts are five-star amazing. The place is modern but cozy. Sharon is welcoming (but never overbearing). She remembers details about her guests (like the cookies that we love, which she always makes for us and leaves out as a snack) and goes out of her way to ensure your visit is top notch. My only hesitation in writing this glowing review is that Northfield Inn will become so popular we won't be able to get in for our next visit. You cannot go wrong staying here. You won't want to leave!

We were referred by a friend, who knows the owners. We had a beautiful evening in Northfield. As out of towners, it was an unexpected adorable little town and we were greeted warmly by Andy, the owner, upon our arrival. The Inn is new and gorgeous! Great layout with a bathroom in every suite (no awkward sharing between unknown guests). Great coffee. Great food. Wonderful fireplace to sit by and enjoy the sunshine in the early morning. All the perfect magazines to flip through endlessly while decompressing and unwinding. Super comfortable bed with lovely down comforters. Love the decor and paint colors! A perfect escape for a little get away! Walking distance to downtown. We will be returning!
