Stumbled upon this driving home from up north. Loved the relaxed atmosphere and the vibe. $10 wine tasting includes glass. The red blend and white are delicious. We had our dog and they offered us a leash to bring our dog on the patio. Owners are very nice. We will be back-especially seeing how close they are off the highway.

After visiting this winery on a Saturday afternoon last year with a few family members; my mom and I decided it might be a fun and unique venue for my sisters bridal shower. The initial visit was pleasant. The wine tasting was fun and atmosphere was nice. It was not busy the first time we visited. We were one of maybe 3 groups during the 2 hours we spent there. The male owner is very friendly. When my mom called to ask about hosting a bridal shower there; they seemed very open to us hosting there. She was told the back room would be reserved. She asked if we could bring in our own food, including crock pots. All was ok with them. We anticipated about 20-25 guests. We told them we would be paying for all guests to do the wine tasting. They said it was ok to bring in our own non-alcoholic beverages which means we would need to bring in a cooler. We showed up to a packed winery. When we entered the back room it was jam packed with people and 1/3 of the back room was roped off with gray telephone cord with a sign "reserved". The area consisted of 4 tables with 5-6 chairs at each. No other space whatsoever. No room for crock pots, coolers, decorations. Nothing. In a panic I commented to the female owner "I thought we had the entire back room" and her reply was "no, and you're lucky you got THAT! We can't reserve anything you're lucky you even got that! ". The guests in the back room felt so bad for us scrambling to try and figure out how to accompany our guests in the next hour and set up food, etc...they offered to move around and give up their tables for us so we would have some space for our food. We somehow managed to put it all together but the entire time we were there our guests were treated like we were a complete bother. We had several patrons coming up to us asking why the female owner was so rude to us. The male owner told a few of our guests to not hang at the bar area during their tastings. That they need to take their 1 oz servings to another area and come back for another serving because they were taking up too much room for other people coming to get their sampling's. Yet, every time you looked after that, people were "hanging" at the bar enjoying their wine. The female owner is NOT friendly or inviting whatsoever. We spent $250 on wine tasting and we purchased wine bottles to bring home, yet we were treated terribly. I don't understand what we did to make this woman behave so rudely to us. For that, I will never visit this establishment ever again. Thankfully, we had a great group of guests and we managed to still have a great time thanks to the kind patrons who helped us out by making more space for us.

This is a fun stop between North Branch and Cambridge! They've done well with their wine making. Looks like they are expanding their hours (a dream come true for me!).

The winery is great and Mike the owner is very nice, but the other staff makes the whole experience terrible. They are rude and judgmental. Constantly giving dirty looks. I have been there two different times and had the same experience each time.

Simply put, the owner Mike is to the wine scene, what a new, naturally-talented, outside-the-box, creative designer is to the next generation fashion scene. Mike's creations took our wine-tasting sensations to a whole new level, with a broad selection of masterful deliciousness, all under one roof! My wife & I stumbled upon this new, unassuming vineyard as we were out for a sunny Saturday drive north from The Cities. We try to visit vineyards wherever we travel, and usually don't have high expectations for local vineyards. But we quickly found that North Ridge Winery is truly someplace special! Now, I could tell you which wines we loved, but everyone has differing tastes. (I will say that we took home 11 different blends. Oh, and my wife loved the hard cider too!) But, what was even more impressive to us was that, as Mike was serving us samples of his creations, his eyes beamed to see our reactions, and his voice was passionate, filled with down-to-earth words of the sensations that he was trying to create with each one. He listened carefully, and truly cared what we thought. Mike is not a wine snob, and his winery provides a very simple ambiance. But, in talking with him, we felt that this is not just about running a winery, or wine making, or wine serving. It's about the wonderful feeling he gets in revealing to visitors his creations that he knows will tantalize our senses in so many fun, new, and delicious ways! My wife & I will certainly go to other vineyards, but we'll be going back often to North Ridge Winery, because we won't find a more down-to-earth, passionate, creative wine maker who wants us enjoy wine as much as Mike. He makes this a very special place.
