Fireball - cooked with tuna - yum!
Fireball - kinda light on the tuna! Twice as much tuna would be perfect.

No sushi on the menu but very tasty Korean fried chicken. The laab sauce resulted in a dry rub style with enough flavor to feel like a sticky wing. Definitely recommend for any fans of spice!

I like the Ninja Sushi food truck - 4 stars! The food was really good. It isn't perfect. But I have to put it into perspective. Two guys make all of this food in a small food trailer that's about the size of my bathroom! I didn't see an air conditioner either. And it was an 85 degree day. Amazing. I'm pretty tough but I don't think I could pull it off.My cooked tuna Fireball was really good. But it had a microscopic quantity of tuna. It was mostly a flavored deep fried rice ball. Good...but a little more meat please. My Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl was great. I read some of the other reviews. It did, indeed, have a lot of sauce. But the sauce was awesome and I liked it - a lot. I was totally cool with it.I'd eat here again any time. Thumbs up!-Daddy Maxx Retro

I've been wanting to give this place a try for a while ever since they opened up a couple years ago, I just unfortunately didn't have the time. Many of my friends recommended this place and I can say they live up to their reputation. The owners are cool and down to earth and they have an adorable dog outside their food truck trailer. I guess an unofficial mascot. Now for the food I ordered a Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl with Avacado. I was interested in the fact that the bowl comes with mango bits, a different flavor added to the mix. The avacado bits were perfectly ripe and the lettuce adds a refreshing crispness to the overall bowl. They don't skimp out of the tuna and give a hearty amount, and the tuna is of good quality. But my only complaint is the sauce, the sauce is good but I felt that there was too much of it.Overall the food is good and for the price I'd say it is all worth it. I'll have to give them another visit at another time and try their other items!

After work recently, my coworker and friend lil yang wanted to try this food truck out. She heard they were doing a BOGO 1/2 Off Deal on their Hot Cheeto Sushi-Ritto. I love Sushi-Rittos, and who doesn't enjoy Hot Cheetos. I am a fan of anything spicy. We ordered, and asked to get one without Avocado. They were quickly made, and handed to us, the server noted which was the no avocado for us. We took a few bites and it was good. The hot Cheetos gave it a nice little kick, but wasn't as spicy as I was hoping. The filling included a spicy mayo, but I didn't feel it was that spicy at all. If I had hot sauce on hand I would have added some more, but I didn't, so I couldn't. The Ritto itself was good, and if given the opportunity, I would get it again, however idk if I'd go out of my way to get it. The service was wonderful, and the owners were very nice to work with. I do have a 10% off from checking in on Yelp, so maybe I'll use that next time. 1 Sushi-Ritto is $14 + Tax. With the BOGO 1/2 Off our total was $22 and some change. Kind of a lot for something 'special', that turned out to be not that special. Overall, I'm going to give it 4-Stars. It was a little better than okay, but there is still room for a lot of improvement if they wish to continue to succeed in my opinion.

1.5********** / 5 UGH. I wished I looked at the yelp reviews before I spent my money here. I'm sad I couldn't give any more stars but I am just highly dissatisfied with this meal. The big red food truck and smiling faces caught my eye during a lunch break so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the spicy tuna bowl ($10) and a "bomb as fries" bowl ($6). With the price, I was hoping for both to be wayyyyy better than they were. But I was wrong. The spice tuna bowl lacked tuna... like I am not kidding you when I say it probably only had like less than 8 pieces of sushi. I felt like I was just eating salad and rice the entire time. The cucumbers and mango that came with it were a nice touch.... but isn't this a spicy TUNA bowl? Well.... Tuna was not the star in this meal. And from what I recall spicy tuna is more than just regular tuna with a drizzle of spicy mayo on it... which was all I got in the bowl. I was also SUPER excited for the fries... and although it was bigger than what I expected, all I got was a bowl of fries... maybe 5 pieces of cut up shrimp tempura, some spicy mayo, shredded cheese and a few slices of onion.I appreciate the great customer service. But almost $20.00 for a lunch with BARELY any sushi? No thanks....

My husband and I LOVE sushi we eat sushi on a weekly basis, but we were deeply disappointed by Ninja Sushi. I got the sushi hot cheeto burrito and it was $14.00! But the quality of it did not live up to be $14.00. The sushi rice was way too mushy and there was no vinegar in the rice to give you that salty and sweet taste that you get from sushi. On top of that there was 1 shrimp tempura that was already soggy with iceberg lettuce which is the lowest quality lettuce compared to its other family. The sauce they put was just at the top then found at the bottom but not throughout the burrito. My husband got the spicy salmon bowl which was not any different from mine. In total we spent $26.00 on very low quality food. I mean the food put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day since I hadn't eaten all day. My emotions are dependent on what I eat and that's common with a lot of people. You could just tell there wasn't any love or care and thought put into your food. That kind of cooking means a lot to me. It makes me what you would call a "regular". I'm glad we tried it atleast and now we know better. We'll be going to our other regular sushi spots.

It was OK. Worth a try sure. Yet, for the zig zagging to get to this place and the gas spent the sushi itself is not anything that you couldn't find at a cub. It's just displayed in a unique manner. Taste is a 3/5.

My wife and I decided to give this place a try. We were super hungry and the pictures on the back of the menu made everything look so good. I got a sushi burrito and it was ok but I expected fried tofu, not plain tofu cut up. I guess I could have asked, so my bad there I guess. Also I got the secret ninja sauce and FML it was spicy! I eat spicy stuff often and keep "Dave's insanity sauce" in my fridge so I am not shy of spicy food but this was almost unbearable. This was probably because it all seemed to be at the bottom of the burrito so I got several bites of massive amounts of hot sauce. Just know that going in I guess. The main reason for 2 stars was my wife's vegan bowl. It was $15, which was $5 more than my burrito and it was very lack luster. The picture on the back and the description specifically said fried tofu filled with rice which sounded unique and was her sole purpose of ordering it and justifying the cost. When she went to pick it up it had the same plain tofu cut into squares just like I got. We were in a group with new friends and there was a good sized line so she didn't want to make a fuss... and she was starving. Everything said, I wouldn't go there again. The prices are too high for what you get and they can't even make the items as described. Looking at past reviews, I should have looked here before deciding to eat there. Oh well, live and learn. If the owners read this, I love your concept and think you guys are capable of some great food. Seeing all these negative reviews, it may be a good idea to revise the menu and/or prices. If things look different the next time I see the truck, I will give you a second try.

Ordered Super Ninja bowl. It suppose to come with a lot of stuff and the main, salmon. I was at the new location at the Maplewood mall. Checked my bowl over and over again. Missing tobiko and salmon. The most disappointing poke bowl of my life time. Never served a bowl without the main. The flavor was dump with full of oyster sauce. They have lost touch with their flavor and service. When my boy Hlee worked there, they were great. I don't think I'll ever come back to a bowl with no fish.

I had the Mama bowl and Bomb A** Fries. They were really good! They have a mix of cooked and raw bowls. I would definitely eat there again!
