Neutral Groundz

Every time I travel to North Mankato to see family, I stop in here. I am always impressed. Lovely eye-candy everywhere one looks with an amazing boutique of unique and beautiful items in back. The baked goods are always delicious- today, we had a mini key lime pie and a chocolate scone. We chatted with Judy who was checking on all of the boutique displays- she was very friendly and made our visit even nicer. North Mankato has such a gift in having Neutral Groundz as a cafe and meeting spot. I haven't even left Minnesota yet, and I'm already thinking about returning for coffee and whatever fabulous baked goods they have to offer on our next trip this way.

Ambiance is cute and the iced tea is amazing! The coffee is a bit too watery in my opinion but a nice quick stop for an afternoon drink

Great lunch, coffee and baked goods. Highly suggest doh g their half and half. Plenty of fresh light healthy options for you to choose from and enjoy! Easy to park and enter, they have a shop in the back half. If you want something not on the menu or need to edit an item they are more than willing to help.

I'm on a month long road trip and finding a good latte is harder than I anticipated!I stopped in here hoping for a decent drink. I entered through the back and was surprised to see some adorable baby clothing and SO MUCH cute home decor. Everything was so beautiful and CLEAN! As I walked through, every staff member asked if there was something particular I was looking for or if they could help in anyway. I placed my order and looked around some more and wish I could have just sat there and enjoyed the space. The restroom had a great design and was also so clean!The most important part of my review: I wish they had coconut milk or heavy cream but they do have some other alternatives. I ordered one latte with almond milk and another breve. Both were steamed perfectly and the espresso is smooth! This was a perfect stop to get a great latte!

The sandwiches, coffees and staff are just a few reasons to stop into this North Mankato gem. I love the atmosphere and home good choices. I'm so grateful for this local coffee shop!

Great use of a nice space in North Mankato. Front of house is a coffee shop with every flavor syrup you can imagine. For those with less of a sweet tooth, Neutral Groundz brews the locally roasted Beans coffee. While brewing options are limited, all of our coffees/espressos tasted great. While you wait for your coffee you can walk around and browse the many unique sections of the rest of the space that are home to housewares and home goods such as decorative pillows, candles, and floral arrangements. Worth noting, Neutral Groundz also has an extensive tea selection. Street parking right in front.

I decided to come here for a coffee to start off my Sunday morning. I have been here before and enjoyed their drinks. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte iced. When I took the first sip in my car, I noticed that the espresso tasted off, almost burnt like Starbucks. I remember them having great espresso before so maybe they switched the roast or distributors. I took another sip and focused on other flavors of the drink and the best way I can describe the flavor of the pumpkin spice syrup is spiced soap. It tasted horrible! I am not one to complain or waste food but I could not finish it. It tasted like I squirted pumpkin spice hand soap into my mouth. I had to go to get coffee elsewhere after that. The staff was fine and everything I would just recommend to not get that flavor. The espresso also seemed lower quality in my opinion.

Found this place by mistake from taking a wrong turn and boy am I happy about it! An absolutely beautiful store, great coffee, plenty of pastries available. Doubles as a home decor shop with the most adorable items for purchase. Now if only I knew how to decorate my house I can buy some of it!

Couldn't even try this, I stopped in and I was politely informed that the water was not working and they could not pull espresso shots. Bummer.

Food, service and Ambiance. Highly recommend this place..pleasant staff. Local coffee beans, along with their "treats". Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed. : )
