NaKato Bar & Grill

Always great service! Good variety of options, and finer than most bars of its type. We enjoy the music, though always a little cramped in the back room. Outdoor eating is pleasant!

I am always looking for places to go for Sunday brunch; NaKato was my most recent stop and I wasn't disappointed. They feature a pastrami sandwich on a pretzel bun which I thoroughly enjoyed. Also had a Bloody Mary which wasn't anything spectacular, but it was good. It was very busy, there was only one table available when we got there. If you're looking for a greasy spoon breakfast, this is your place!

Best food in North Mankato. Their breakfast is wonderful no matter what you order and they make a great no-frills Bloody Mary. If you're a salad fan like I am, you don't have to worry about the dreaded iceberg lettuce and dressing packet nightmare. Their quality is legit. Sandwiches are excellent too. I love their pretzel buns! Service can be hit or miss, decor could be improved, but otherwise it's great!

Stopped on a Sunday morning around 10:30. The only place to sit was at the bar for the group our size (6). The food took one hour and fifteen minutes to come out after we ordered. This was absolutely unacceptable because other large groups got their food before us, despite walking in much later than we did. The bartender was less than apologetic. It's one thing for the food to be out late, but another for the bartender (our waitress) to not care.In addition, I would not order a drink from the bar. The bartender said five words the entire time (again, none of them were "I'm sorry"). She used her bare hands to put garnishments in drinks instead of tongs. In addition, watching her pour a beer was like watching three year old try to do it.The only good thing about this place is that one day I will see it on Bar Rescue and be able to say that I ate there.

Small town bar feel. Which i love, came in sat at the bar and order the special which was a prime rib sandwich, white cheddar cheese curds appetizers along with chislic (steak tips), great food good chicken strips and ranch our waitress was on the spot and friendly. We heard great things for it as a brunch and breakfast spot as well. Parking can be slightly difficult if it's busy but we found a spot right away.

Ordered takeout from this place twice. Nice simple food, nothing too fancy. It's a 1/2 mile from my sisters in North Mankato. Nice food prepared quick. Easy to pick up.Are there better places? Probably. I love the convenience of this place though.

We've been going to Nakato for years, ever since they opened and it has been pretty good. Yesterday my wife went in to get a drink and appetizer with a friend and she paid with a $50, her bill was around $14. The server came back with change for a $20 so my wife explained she paid with a $50. Needless to say the server "couldn't find a $50 in their drawer. When we spoke to the manager he was short with my wife about it and obviously she didn't get her money back. It's too bad really, now they are going to lose 100s of potential $ for 30 bucks. She must've needed it pretty bad. We will never go back. Either way over the years unless you are friends with the bartender the drinks are average at best and the food is not what it used to be.

The food was good. That's all that's worth mentioning. That is until Yelp requires I have at least 85 characters. You could skip this one and you'd be fine. Thanks for charging me to use my card to purchase goods and services at your location. Please be advised you'll be paying a "convenience fee" if you are a modern human and don't carry cash.

That awkward moment when I home your establishment crashes an burns. Laughable pathetic service.. I've been coming here for years and some of your servers are a joke. We came in tonight and we were treated like a BURDEN. The waitress had the audacity to not only loudly complain to us BUT also to other tables. All we did was come in to play pull tabs. Thanks for nothing! Will not be returning ever again

I had the Prime Rib sandwhich snd roasted garlic tomato soup/ delicious! The hot beef and Turkey commercial are awesome too!
